Zachery Ty Bryan, best known for playing Brad Taylor on Home Improvement, is facing legal trouble again. But while he deals with yet another arrest, the actor has quietly amassed significant earnings over decades in Hollywood, especially from his long-running role as Tim Allen's cheeky eldest son.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Zachery Ty Bryan boasts a net worth of $5 million, despite a string of legal issues.

Before landing his breakthrough onscreen character, the 44-year-old celebrity initially appeared in ads and played small roles. Then, he headlined the widely liked ABC sitcom from 1991 to 1999 before transitioning into made-for-TV films.

More about Zachery Ty Bryan's career and legal troubles

Zachery Ty Bryan starred in the well-received sitcom Home Improvement, which ran for eight seasons with 204 half-hour episodes from 1991 to 1999. The ABC show — top-billed by Tim Allen, Patricia Henderson, Earl Hindman, and more — received multiple awards and nominations during its run, from the likes of the Golden Globe Awards, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, and Primetime Emmy Awards, among others.

The 44-year-old star played Bradley Michael "Brad" Taylor, Tim and Jill's son, and appeared in all eight seasons. While there had been speculations in the past several years about the sitcom's reboot, Richardson debunked the rumors in a 2024 podcast, citing Hindman's death in 2003 and Bryan's legal troubles.

Earlier this November, following Zachery Ty Bryan's domestic violence scare, and after a woman was granted a 5-year restraining order from him, the actor told TMZ that he is taking responsibility for his past actions.

"The truth is, I've struggled with the lasting effects of early fame, addiction, and poor decision-making, which have hurt people I care about and led to repeated legal issues, including DUIs and past domestic incidents. This latest situation, involving a restraining order and serious accusations, has been a painful wake-up call."

However, only weeks after that, the actor was taken into police custody for allegedly violating his probation. Currently, he is detained in Lane County Jail without bail and is scheduled for release on Dec. 3.

Reports also stated that Bryan's fiancée, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, was also apprehended and is booked in the same prison. Per the documents, she faces five charges: one count of driving under the influence, one count of attempted first-degree assault, and three counts of reckless endangerment.

Before this arrest, Zachery Ty Bryan was also captured in January for second-degree domestic violence.

In 2024, he was arrested twice, in February and October, for driving under the influence.

In 2023, Bryan was charged with fourth-degree felony assault (for which he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to seven days in jail), third-degree robbery, and misdemeanor harassment.
