Miranda Lambert is sharing glimpses from her summer with husband Brendan McLoughlin. On June 26, she took to Instagram to post photos of herself and McLoughlin enjoying time at what appeared to be a farm, surrounded by animals. She captioned the carousel simply as,

“Summer lovin”

Lambert married McLoughlin on January 26, 2019. The couple, who secretly wed away from the media and cameras, first met in 2018. According to People Magazine, they tied the knot on a farm near Nashville. Although they married in January 2019, Lambert kept her wedding private, only announcing her marriage on Valentine’s Day a month later.

Taking to X (then Twitter), Lambert wrote,

“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for.... me. #theone"

Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin’s relationship, explored

Miranda Lambert has openly spoken about how she met and fell in love with Brendan McLoughlin, a retired New York City police officer. In a 2019 interview with the New York Times, Lambert shared that her band, Pistol Annies, played a role in their meeting. She said,

“I met my husband doing press for the Pistol Annies record, this time last year. Our record came out the day after Halloween, and we did ‘Good Morning America.’ My husband was doing security there for the show. My girlfriends, the Annies, saw him and knew I might be ready to hang out with someone.”

Highlighting that those around her played a key role in her relationship with McLoughlin, Lambert added,

“They invited him to our show behind my back. They plucked him for me. My security guy Tom, he was in on it too. He said to me, ‘He’s here. And he’s pretty.’ [Laughs] Now the Pistol Annies have three husbands, two ex-husbands, three children, a stepson and 23 animals. We’ve done a lot in nine years!”

Lambert has previously shared insights into her married life with McLoughlin. While talking to Extra, Lambert opened up about being a stepmother to McLoughlin’s son from a previous relationship. Lambert, who is a well-known animal rescuer and dog lover, said,

“My stepson is amazing. I’m loving that whole phase, and I've raised a million dogs, so I feel like I've got that part of my womanly/motherly thing is full, so this is a whole new journey. It's great.”

She also said that the couple split their time between Nashville and New York. She added,

“We have the best of both worlds. We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life. I'm enjoying the balance.”

Lambert and McLoughlin are quietly in sync. In 2021, when Lambert opened her restaurant in Nashville, the couple captivated audiences with their duet of Grease’s Summer Nights, according to Taste of Country. McLoughlin also openly shows his love for Lambert. Posting on Instagram to wish his wife a happy 40th birthday, he wrote,

Alongside, McLoughlin included photographs of Miranda Lambert from their various trips together, as well as pictures of the country star with her dogs.
