Comedian and TV presenter Nick Cannon seems to have a difficult time remembering his children’s names. On June 19, 2025, he appeared on Bobbi Althoff’s The Really Good Podcast, where, during the conversation, he shared that he had seven boys and five girls.
He said managing girls was more difficult than managing boys. According to him, his gender gave him the ease to interact with his sons. However, he couldn’t do certain activities with his daughters, like push-ups on his knuckles. Bobbi Althoff then asked him about all his twelve children’s names. Nick Cannon then said:
“Alright. This is where I usually get in trouble.”
Althoff asked if he didn’t know their names, to which he responded:
“I know all of them but like can you label or just rattle off twelve of anything?”
Nick Cannon then began naming his kids. He named Moroccan, Monroe, Golden, Powerful, Rise, Onyx, Legendary, Zion, Zillion, and Zen. He then struggled to remember the names of the two other kids, saying:
“I am missing two. And then I would say, oh yeah, did I say Beautiful? There’s Beautiful and then there would be Halo, my youngest.”
He forgot two of his daughters’ names. Beautiful is two years old and was born to Abby. Halo, who is also of the same age, was born to Alyssa. Bobbi suggested that she would like to have his 13th child, to which Nick Cannon joked they were wasting time doing yoga. However, he added:
“I think I am done.”
He said when he was 30, he didn’t want to have any kids; however, by the time he turned 40, he had twelve of them. He shared:
“I don't know what God and the universe have in store for me.”
Nick Cannon says he likes spending time with all his kids
During the podcast, Bobbi asked Nick why he had weddings every year. He explained that it started as something fun, with the first in the Bahamas, the second in the Maldives, the third possibly in Paris near the Eiffel Tower, and the fourth at Disneyland.
When asked if he was close with all the mothers of his children, he said there were only six and pointed out that most people typically have two, suggesting it wasn’t that unusual.
Nick Cannon shared that he had a deep love for children and believed they gave life a strong sense of purpose. While many people questioned how someone could be emotionally present for twelve kids, even if they had the money, he felt confident in his ability to do so.
He explained that his work schedule allowed him to spend a lot of quality time with his children, engaging in activities and being there for everyday moments, like when they brought home their artwork. Cannon said:
“My goal is to make sure nobody, my children and my families can have whatever they want.”
Nick Cannon admitted that he often saw himself in an overly confident way, joking that he had a "king complex." He pointed out that he wore a turban regularly and also had a strong interest in hats and fashion.
