Eagle-eyed fans have reportedly found an editing slip in the new season of Netflix's Stranger Things. E! News reported that a TikTok went viral after a fan noticed an editing error in Chapter 2 of Season 5. The outlet reported that in the clip shared on December 4, Will (played by Noah Schnapp) and Robin (Maya Hawke) go to the neighbourhood park at night to find where the former experienced a vision from Vecna.
As they approached the spot, fans noticed a cross made of blue and orange tape, likely indicating where they should stand for the scene. E! News reported that the TikTok user captioned the clip as,
"Oh no not the orange and blue electrical tape scene markers."
However, instead of criticising the series makers, many acknowledged it as human error. One user reportedly wrote that "catching little details" reminds them it is a "show." Another humorously wrote that some may be making "an entire theory" about the tapes.
Users notably kept it light, noting that editing errors are not uncommon. Some added that it isn't the same as when fans spotted a Starbucks cup in one of the Game of Thrones episodes.

Stranger Things fans find editing errors in Season 5 episodes

Until the final set of episodes arrives to draw a curtain on Stranger Things, fans are keeping an eye on potential slips. A TikTok reportedly went viral after fans spotted an editing slip in a scene with Noah Schnapp and Maya Hawke. This reportedly comes after fans spotted another continuity error on the new season last week.
Cosmopolitan reported that during one of the ending scenes in Chapter 4 of Season 5, Will is reminded of one of the sweet memories from his childhood. The news outlet reported that in his memory, Will and his brother Jonathan can be seen building a fort in bright sunshine. However, fans were quick to bring up the discrepancy from Season 1's recollection of the same event.
As per Jonathan's narrative from Season 1, he says,
"Do you remember the day Dad left? We stayed up all night, building Castle Byers, just the way you drew it. And then it started raining, but we stayed out there anyway. We were both sick for like a week after that. But we just had to finish it, didn't we? We just had to."
One user took to their X (@tragickingdom) and wrote about the error,
"Jonathan once said that when he and Will built Castle Byers, it was pouring rain and they both got so soaked they ended up sick for a whole week. And it also makes no sense for them to act so normal when it’s literally the day their father left the house."
Stranger Things fans have reportedly noticed a few editing slips; however, it doesn't seem to upset them, and they look forward to the final chapters.
