Who is BossMan Dlow? Real name and all we know amid influencer Timmy Bandsome controversy

Bossman Dlow, whose real name is Devante McCreary, is a 26-year-old rapper and Port Salerno, Florida, native who has recently made headlines thanks to his relationship rumors.

The artist recently became embroiled in an online scandal when influencer Timmy Bandsome published alleged messages that implied a romantic relationship between the two of them.

Bossman Dlow was born on August 31, 1998, and raised in Port Salerno, a small town on Florida’s east coast. He only started rapping seriously in 2019, and immediately sustained a short stint in county jail in 2020 for drug-related charges, which slowed down his initial career.

He got his first breakthrough with the 2023 mixtape, Too Slippery, which gained a lot of traction on TikTok due to songs like Chic Fil A and Rotation. His songs soon got noticed by the Alamo Records, which re-released the project as '2 Slippery' toward the end of the year with a handful of new songs.

In January 2024, Bossman Dlow released Get In With Me, along with its music video. According to Uproxx, the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 68 and garnered good views and streams on YouTube and Spotify.

The rapper became a viral sensation on social media and streaming platforms with his unique line delivery and unconventional flow. His follow-up hit, Mr Pot Scraper, was also well received by his fans.

He kept the momentum going with the release of Mr Beat the Road mixtape in March 2024 and a remix collaboration with the rapper GoRilla on Finesse.

According to Hot New Hiphop, Dlow has repeatedly expressed his admiration for GoRilla, even dubbing her his “wife” in an anecdotal tweet. Though the duo seems close, they are supposedly just friends, and there is no speculation of romantic involvement as of yet.

Coming back to Dlow’s alleged relationship with Timmy Bandsome, we know that Bandsome is a social media influencer boasting over 310K followers on Instagram. Bandsome recently shared screenshots that showcased Bossman Dlow exchanging flirty DMs.

Bandsome said the rapper engaged a lot through messages that were posted on Instagram stories and that he used “Vanish Mode” on the app to chat. Bandsome also shared a phone number, alleging that it is associated with the rapper. Dlow hasn’t commented publicly yet on the accusations:

"He vanished mode me after that hey but i got his # and we was texting they don’t call him Dlow for nothing follow my finsta to get the messages & imma be posting more of yall fav rapping if they keep playing with me," Timmy Bandsome captioned an Instagram post.
