Brandon Flynn, who famously portrayed Justin Foley in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, is now in a loving relationship as he recently married Canadian author and playwright Jordan Tannahill. After a few years of dating, the couple officially exchanged vows on October 12, 2024, at St. Mark’s Church in Bowery, New York City, as reported by IMDb and Just Jared.

Jordan Tannahill has been acclaimed for his groundbreaking work in theatre and literature. Tannahill’s credits include shorts like Swim and Father and the VR experience Draw Me Close, which has been shown at festivals including TIFF, Tribeca, and Venice (IMDB).

Tannahill has been the recipient of numerous awards, including two Governor General's Literary Awards and two international prizes for his novels. His debut novel, Liminal, won France’s Prix des jeunes libraries, and The Listeners was a national bestseller in Canada and shortlisted for the 2021 Scotiabank Giller Prize.

Tannahill’s plays have been produced in some of the world’s major theatres, such as The Young Vic, Lincoln Centre and London’s West End. Between 2012 and 2016, he was a co-runner of the influential Toronto art space Videofag.

As fans were celebrating Brandon Flynn’s new chapter, his former 13 Reasons Why co-star Tommy Dorfman revealed a past relationship with him in her new memoir, Maybe This Will Save Me, published Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

In her book, Dorfman, 33, details a brief romance with Flynn when the hit Netflix series was just starting to film. To be particular, she tells a story of one memorable night in San Francisco when the cast was hanging out at Flynn’s house.

Tommy Dorfman, in her recent memoir, recalls a night in San Francisco when the cast had all gone to Brandon Flynn’s house. When Dorfman went out for a cigarette, she was supposedly met by Flynn on the balcony.

"Within a few puffs, I looked over to find that Brandon had joined me, His boyish tipsy charm was intoxicating, he carried confidence with ease, and his blue eyes sparkled, perhaps this is what people meant when they said star quality." She wrote.

Even though Brandon Flynn was open to a real relationship, Dorfman says she wasn’t, at the time, and Flynn did eventually find someone else. Dorfman also added that it was emotional for her to see Flynn subsequently date fellow co-star Miles Heizer, a romance that was never officially confirmed (US Weekly).

In the memoir, Dorfman also grapples with feelings of jealousy and potential regret, pondering whether she had somehow lost a meaningful relationship with Brandon Flynn.

“Seeing Miles and Brandon so in love sparked an unexpected jealousy in me, a yearning for that excitement and fire, perhaps even more serious feelings lingered for Brandon at that time, but I couldn’t do anything about it,” She wrote.

Eventually, Tommy Dorfman moved on by marrying Peter Zurkuhlen in 2016 and got divorced by 2021. She later wed Elise Williams in 2024, but has filed for divorce again.
