It seems like there is a new development in Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion’s case. For context, this goes back to 2020 when Lanez allegedly fired shots at the Mamushi singer’s feet. A trial was held in 2022, and Lanez was convicted of assault. He was also charged with keeping weapons. On December 22, TMZ published an exclusive story mentioning that Lanez’s legal team was planning to file appeals.Tory Lanez's team also submitted a report to the court comprising a testimony from a software expert. The person who reviewed Megan Thee Stallion’s medical records claimed that there were as many as 60 errors in the medical records. These were the findings presented during the 2022 trial by the then D.A. George Gascon. The report has an unfound document titled “EVIDENCE.” This document was a report by someone named Derek Cervantes, who was in charge of collecting bullet fragments and transferring them to the hospital. The report allegedly has other issues, such as mismatched texts, non-functional QR codes, and formatting issues, among others. Not only that, but there were 300 pages that the defense never got access to.At the same time, the medical professional involved in the case, Dr. Little, did not testify during the trial. The person is also untraceable. As seen in the interview, he said that he was never violent towards a woman. He also said:“I would never hit a woman, let alone shoot a woman. There is definitely a very big misconception about me that seems to the public as I'm this monster and I feel like I was catapulted into this poster child for the unprotection of Black women and it's just so unlike me and I've never really had a chance to express that. But you can look at my criminal record. I don't have one. I never had one.”Tory Lanez claimed:“And I feel like, you know, that connotation that I would do anything of this monstrous proportion is just it's completely incorrect and it's wrong.”During the trial, Tory Lanez did not take a stand. Speaking to the media outlet, he said that had he taken a stand, the verdict would have been “very different.” Meanwhile, his legal team claimed that since the bullet fragments were not brought up during the trial, it shows a violation of the legal process. His lawyer, Crystal Morgan, said:“We didn't have that chance. Or perhaps we could have questioned the doctors differently when they were on stand to impeach them because it does look suspicious.”Tory Lanez stated that the recent evidence was “overwhelming” for him. When asked how prison life has been, he said he tried his best to keep his “head above water.” However, it took a toll on his mental health as he said he had gone through a traumatic experience.
