Dexter White, who was born Dexter Keaton on December 15, 1995, is the adopted daughter of the late actress Diane Keaton. She is the first child out of the two children, Keaton adopted and raised as a single mother. Dexter, at the age of 29, has kept a low-profile life, unlike her renowned mother, who was mostly in the limelight.

After the death of the mother, Diane Keaton, at age 79, on October 11, 2025, White posted a message in her memory. She honored her through an Instagram Story, which featured one of the interests that Keaton had: animal welfare. Her post prompted people to get involved in Race for the Rescues, an animal charity, which her mother had been donating to over the years.

The act was an indication of the relationship that Dexter had with her mother. Keaton has expressed her love and adoration for her children. In May 2014, Dexter had also referred to her mother as strong, beautiful, and talented.

Following the death of Diane Keaton in October 2025, Dexter utilized her mother's platform to pay tribute to her legacy.
