The controversial hip-hop mogul’s former partner, Gina Huynh, might not take the witness stand in Sean Combs' ongoing trial.

Matthew Russell Lee, who has been sharing regular updates around the case via @innercitypress on X, shared that the prosecution is unlikely to subpoena Puff Diddy’s ex, who had accused him in the past. The lawyer-author wrote in a recent post in response to a question about Gina Huynh testifying:

“It's not a good luck, nor is it usually effective, to subpoena a victim-witness.”

He added:

“In US v. Sean Combs the prosecutors have bought in on subpoenas, for example, witness Kerry Morgan, and personal assistant George Kaplan, even giving him immunity. But so far no Gina.”

For those unaware, Huynh is a Vietnamese model and social media influencer who was previously linked to the Bad Boy Records founder. She has also dropped two singles - 31 Flavors and Shake My A*$ - as Gina V. According to HotNewHipHop, Gina was involved with Diddy in an on-and-off relationship for years.

Per Page Six, Combs was also dating Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura when he was linked with the social media personality. According to Who’s Dated Who, Gina V and Diddy started their relationship in 2014 but parted ways in 2019. Later, Huynh was linked with Chris Brown after they were spotted together in public, but it remained unconfirmed.

In May 2022, Gina shared a PDA photo with Diddy via her Instagram Stories. The record exec’s then-partner, Yung Miami, called her out on social media while they seemingly had a public fallout; neither named the other person.

Gina Huynh had previously accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of abusing her

Combs faced serious allegations from his ex-partner, Cassie Ventura, in November 2023. It eventually led to more investigations and resulted in the ongoing s*x trafficking trial against the record exec. Before Cassandra, it was Gina Huynh who accused Combs of being abusive.

In a three-part interview with Tasha K in 2019, Gina V alleged that Diddy stomped on her stomach and punched the back of her head. She recalled one of the alleged instances:

“He had caught me texting another man. He was in Miami and it got really crazy at that time. We was upstairs.”

She added:

“ He, like, pushed me, and I fell to the ground, and then he got… He, like, stood over me. So, I was, like, laying on my back, and he stood over me and he started, like, punching me, like this, like, he avoided my face but he, like, started punching me like on the side of my head and I was just, like, covering my face.”

Gina Huynh continued:

“He, like, stomped on my stomach, like, really hard, and I, like, took the wind out of my breath. I couldn't even breathe, but he kept hitting me, and I was, like, pleading to him, like, ‘Can you just stop? I can't breathe.’ And he, like, stopped for a little, but he, like, grabbed my hair from the back and, like… Was, like, punching in the back of my head ‘cause he was just avoiding my face when he was, like, hitting me.”

During her interview with Tasha K, Gina Huynh also recounted other instances when Diddy allegedly hit her. She also claimed that Combs made her abort their child and also offered her $50K, which she refused, claiming that she “loved him.”
