On Thursday, May 22, 2025, Popular American entertainer Scott Mescudi, professionally known as Kid Cudi, took the witness stand to testify in the ongoing Diddy trial, bringing the total number of witnesses to sixteen.
Business Mogul Sean Diddy Combs was arrested on Monday, September 26, 2024, based on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. The legal proceedings kicked off on May 5, 2025, while witness testimony began on Monday, May 12, 2025.
The witness testimony continued on Thursday, May 22, 2025, as Kid Cudi, who was once in a romantic relationship with Cassie in 2011, narrated his experiences from the short-lived romance, including a feud with Diddy.

According to CNN, the infamous Diddy trial welcomed five more testifiers on May 22, 2025, including two-time Grammy Award winner Kid Cudi, George Kaplan, Frederic Zemmour, Joshua Croft, and Mylah Morales.
After taking the witness stand, Cudi detailed what happened between him and Diddy during his short-lived relationship with Cassie Ventura. According to CNN, the 41-year-old rapper alleged that in December 2011, Cassie told him via phone that Diddy became aware of their affair.
As reported, Mescudi testified in the courthouse that Ventura sounded "really stressed on the phone, nervous, scared," as she informed him that Combs had discovered their affair.
After the phone call, the Ohio-born artist testified the court that he picked her up and brought her to the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles.
Not long after, Kudi alleged that he got another call, but this time from Combs' assistant, who informed him that Diddy was at his home. Reacting to the information, the father of one claimed he drove off straight to his home while calling Diddy's phone.

As per reports, Mescudi asked Diddy on the phone,
"Motherf**ker, are you in my house?" to which Combs responded, "I am here waiting for you."
He continued, "Are you in my house? I just want to talk to you. I'm on my way over right now."
He further testified to the state of his home as soon as he arrived, saying,
"Some gifts I had bought for my family were opened".
The Make Her Say rapper also testified that he found his dog distressed, locked in the bathroom, and how the situation had a lingering effect on his pet.
Mescudi recalled when Diddy allegedly set his Porsche ablaze, which he says was carried out with the use of a "Molotov cocktail".
Following the incident, Cudi testified how he and P. Diddy decided to talk things out at a club in L.A. According to the New York Post and CNN, he testified,
"We discussed the whole story about how me and Cassie first started to date to what it was to how it ended. His whole point was, you know, we were homies. She was my girl. I let him know that she told me they were broken up".
Cudi was seen leaving the court after his testimony.

Although initially the feud didn't seem to have been fully resolved, Cudi later shared how Diddy apologized and made peace with him.
