Katie Couric and her husband, John Molner, celebrated 11 wonderful years of togetherness recently.

On June 21, 2025, Katie dedicated a special slideshow for the love of her life, sharing memorable glimpses of their marital life.

The unforgettable snippets feature the duo enjoying a wedding, attending events, and travelling across the world.

Katie Couric wrote in her heartfelt tribute to John Molner:

"Happy anniversary (11!!!!) to my favorite guy. Wow, Molner, we have covered a lot of ground—as Dr. Seuss would say, 'Oh the places you’ll go' well, we’ve probably been there!"

Expressing her gratitude to her husband for being beside her through thick and thin, the renowned presenter further penned:

"Thank you for being my port in the storm, my safe space, my rock during these crazy times. Sorry I’m so messy, aka 'the tornado.' I’m working on it! Here’s to more adventures on the back nine as you would say. ⛳️ Ella’s right. How lucky to be loved by you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"

John Molner, too, wished his wife in his own way and posted a beautiful video on his Instagram handle.

Posting special sneak peeks of their journey of 11 years, he wrote in his caption:

"11 years ago you and I tied the knot! It’s a long day… yes, the longest day of the year… so I have time to play this morning and get back soon to celebrate together! ❤️❤️"

In a 2014 conversation with People, the former Today host recalled meeting Molner, saying:

"What can I say? He had me at hello."

In 2014, she opened up about her intimate wedding during a conversation with Savannah Guthrie on a Today show episode, as cited by People, explaining:

"It was very, very intimate and special. I hate to be shallow, but the weather was perfect and the garden — it was in our backyard — and the garden looked beautiful. We had these incredible dahlias all over the place. It was just perfect."

John attended Trinity College in Hartford from 1981 to 1985 to earn his bachelor's degree. According to his LinkedIn, he completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education in 1990.

John Molner began his career as a Partner at Brown Brothers Harriman in April 1990. According to People, he retired in 2014 and later took on the role of senior advisor. He has been associated with this private investment banking company for over 35 years now.

In January 2018, he co-founded Katie Couric Media with his wife in New York City.

The journalist reflected on her venture with her husband on a 2022 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. While chatting with host Kelly Clarkson, Katie looked back at her diverse professional experiences, sharing:

"I've worked at so many different networks and in so many different jobs and I think in this day and age, there's so much content out there, so much information 24/7, and you're just inundated with that. And there's a lot of misinformation out there. … So I said 'I want to create a media company.'"

She further conveyed:

"And I'm doing it with my husband John. He's the CEO because I'm the more creative person — he's a strong, smart, businessman."

Katie and John first met in 2012, approximately 15 years after she lost her first husband, Jay Monahan, in 1998. Per a People report, one of their mutual friends introduced them.

Soon, they began dating, and the financier popped the question to his partner in 2013. Couric and Molner got engaged during a romantic beach getaway. Next year, the lovebirds tied the knot on June 21 in the Hamptons.

Katie Couric and John Molner have a blended family of four children. Couric welcomed daughters Elinor and Caroline with the late Jay Monahan. Molner was previously married, too. With his former wife, he had a son, Henry, and a daughter, Allie.

In 2021, John Molner exclusively spoke with Katie Couric Media and shared his experience of writing a memoir titled Going There with his wife.

Focusing on him as a private man, Katie Couric Media asked him:

"Do you consider yourself a private person? Did you worry about having all the details of your life put out there?"

As a supportive husband, Molner answered this question, elaborating:

"I do think of myself as a private person. But Katie’s a public figure, and she likes to share her life. I did have some concerns about what she was going to share. But I also thought that for her to write an important book, she had to be willing to be authentic about her journey. And that’s what she’s done. There’s no point in writing a book like this unless you’re ready to be honest with yourself. And I think she absolutely did that."
