Who is Samantha Robertson? Kristin Cavallari reveals she knew ex Jay Cutler’s fiance before they began dating

As per an article by US Weekly, American television personality Kristin Cavallari recently revealed that her relationship with Samantha Robertson goes way back.

Samantha Robertson, originally from Australia, is engaged to Jay Cutler, the ex-husband of Kristin Cavallari. Previously, she was married to Trace Alaya, a close friend of Justin Timberlake, and is a mother of two children. Samantha also has close ties to other celebrities.

During the opening episode of Honestly Cavallari: The Podcast Tour which aired on June 4, Cavallari said that her prior acquaintance with Robertson might have helped build the dynamic between Cutler and Robertson.

"I knew her before. So, I think that helped because I could, sort of, envision their dynamic,” said Cavallari during the podcast episode.

Kim Zolciak was the first guest on Kristin’s Let’s Be Honest podcast tour in Atlanta, where they discussed their respective divorces. Zolciak divorced her ex-husband Kory Biermann in 2023, and they are approaching their two-year separation anniversary

Kristin underwent a two-year divorce proceeding with her husband Jay Cutler, which was finalized in 2022. Cutler and Cavallari share three children: Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor. Cutler announced his engagement to Samantha in September 2023, about a year after he and Cavallari confirmed their separation.

Cavallari revealed on the podcast that the divorce proceedings were messy, and she expressed concerns about having someone new around her children

"Going through something messy in the public — like a divorce — I just know from my own personal experience. There’s always a certain narrative that’s out there. If someone wants to clear the air, or give their perspective, I’m happy to give that platform for it.”

Jay Cutler and Samantha Robertson made their relationship official in September 2023 by posting photos together on Instagram.

"Sunsets in Montana never disappoint," read the caption on Robertson's post.

Cutler also commented 'When are we going back?' in the comment section of the Instagram post. Cutler and his ex-wife Kristin Cavallari ended their marriage in the year 2020 during the month of April. Cutler and Robertson's romance began three years after the separation of the couple. Cavallari said on her podcast that she hopes to see her ex-husband happy.

"I hope that he finds someone, I really do. I mean, I want him happy. My kids benefit from that, you know. So I hope that he gets remarried. I mean, I really do."

In October 2024, Cutler was arrested in Franklin after rear-ending a vehicle and charged with DUI and illegal possession of a firearm. Two weeks after his arrest, Robertson was spotted wearing an engagement ring, suggesting they are now engaged.

She wished her ex-husband a happy birthday in a 2019 Instagram post.

Robertson is the mother of two children named Sophia and River. Robertson often posts pictures of her children on her social media expressing her love for them. Robertson’s social media posts reveal that she is passionate about travel and close to nature.
