Who are Skip Bayless' celebrity hall passes? Sports commentator's wife says "go for a month" when he asks her about getting a hall pass

TV personality and sports commentator Skip Bayless and his wife, Ernestine Sclafani, shared candid details about their celebrity hall passes. On June 22, 2025, the couple sat down on the Skip vs. Ernestine podcast on YouTube, where he presumably read a fan’s question about his celebrity hall pass.

He explained that a celebrity hall pass is like an arrangement where a famous star would agree to be physically involved with a person, and the latter’s spouse would have no objection to it. He said his celebrity hall passes are Marie Osmond and Gwen Stefani. According to him:

“I have had a celebrity crush on Marie Osmond. We did go see Donnie and Marie because she has a friend in the Osmond family.”

He went on:

“And so we went to see Donnie and Marie in Vegas and I am looking at Marie and I am like, gosh, she is hot. And then, one thing led to another and I think she kind of likes me, kind of has a crush on me.”

Ernestine agreed that Marie Osmond had a crush on Skip Bayless and that Marie's husband loved sports. Skip said he played basketball. Ernestine said she knew her manager because she and the singer worked on a project. She remembered Marie once called Skip, but he couldn’t recall, and Ernestine suggested that she must have talked to her in that case.

Ernestine Sclafani said Skip Bayless could go away for a month

Skip Bayless asked Ernestine why she didn’t let him talk to her. However, his wife thought he had already spoken to Marie on the phone. Sharing a message to Osmond, he said:

“Marie, I am available.”

He then turned to Ernestine and asked if she would give him a pass, and she agreed. Unconvinced with the response, Skip said she wouldn’t allow him. Ernestine said:

“Are you kidding me? Go for a month. I don’t care. At least, I will get a break. I don’t have to watch sports for a month. After a month, she will kill herself. She couldn’t take watching sports. You would find a TV channel in a hotel. We have to watch women’s softball from Oklahoma City.”

Skip Bayless then negotiated, saying he could go away for a week. Ernestine said it would be a good idea, and Marie Osmond could put up with him for a week. He added that he also had a crush on singer and fashion designer Gwen Stefani. He said:

"I mean she is happily married and so there I got no shot with Gwen Stefani."

In his message to her, Skip Bayless said:

“Gwen, I am available and just for a night.”

Ernestine said it was a good idea, and Gwen could spend time with him for a night.

What did Skip Bayless say about Ernestine’s celebrity hall pass, Al Pacino?

Ernestine recalled Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson’s 1993 drama, Indecent Proposal, and explained how the storyline unfolded. Skip Bayless called it a fantasy, and Ernestine said something like that happened to her twice, leaving her husband in shock.

She said she dated a person whose poster she had on her wall, but refrained from discussing more about it. Ernestine said:

“I have die-hard people that I love. And people probably don’t care about these people but I do. I have always loved Al Pacino. I love Al Pacino. I met him once, but I love him.”

Skip Bayless said he would give her a hall pass for Al Pacino. Ernestine went on:

“And then I also have always loved Robert Redford. Robert Redford, do no wrong. I think he is 88. So what? He still looks the same in my head. And I can’t think of anybody else. Pacino and Robert Redford. I mean there are millions of guys I think are handsome and good-looking.”

Ernestine mentioned she was aware where Al Pacino went to see his heart doctor. She also joked about the idea of having a baby with Pacino and Redford.
