Katy Perry is allegedly going to be summoned to court in connection with her long-drawn Montecito mansion trial. According to US Weekly, there are rumours that the singer may be asked to report about renting her $15 million mansion to Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger. While it is unclear when the star couple moved into Katy's house, the Realtor confirmed that they had put up their "Pacific Palisades, CA" mansion back on the market at a "price cut."

For those unversed, Katy's disputed property trial reportedly began in 2023, when its previous owner, Carl Westcott, fought to cancel the sale. However, the court reportedly ruled in Katy's favour and confirmed her ownership. According to news outlets, Katy filed an ongoing lawsuit claiming $6 million in damages. There is no official confirmation if Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger will be involved in the trial.

Why is Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger being dragged into Katy Perry $15 million mansion trial? Full details revealed

Katy Perry $15 million mansion was reportedly rented out by Chris Pratt and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger. Per a new report by US Weekly, Katy Perry may be asked to report about her rental to the actors in the phase 2 of the trial beginning August 15. Westcott's legal team has asserted against Perry's claims and noted,

“Perry’s game is clear. During years of litigation, she asserted $3.25 million in loss of use damages. But immediately after the [decision], providing that she would pay $9 million of the $15 million price … was approved by the Court, she is trying to add $2.29 million in ‘new damages’ which brings her total damages claim up to $5.4 million, an amount close to the $6 million she still owes.”

American comedian and podcaster Zack Peter took to his X channel on July 31 and branded Perry's counter-trial as "need for greed." Describing the situation as "shifty", he asked his followers if Perry's case against 85-year-old Westcott should be dropped.

As previously revealed by US Weekly, Westcott's team's attempts to summon Katy Perry's ex-partner, Orlando Bloom, were reportedly shut down. The judge explained that Bloom's involvement in the trial is "unnecessary" and can lead to a "celebrity circus", per The Rolling Stone.

While there are speculations that Chris and Katherine may be involved in the trial, no official confirmation about the trial has been made so far.
