Trace Cyrus and Brenda Song used to be one of Hollywood’s most well-known young couples. Their romance, which spanned from 2010 to 2017, was filled with high-profile engagements and several speculations.

The duo mostly kept quiet about the details of their split, but a recent incident has brought their turbulent past back into public view. In several recent Instagram posts in June 2025, Cyrus accused Song of lying about serious illness and pregnancies during their seven-year relationship.

The former pair went public with their relationship in 2010 and were briefly engaged in 2011. But their love for each other eventually fizzled out in 2017. Neither provided an official reason at the time for the breakup, although they both vaguely referenced the idea of moving on and learning from the past.

According to a report by The Things, there were rumors about their relationship for years, including speculation that Song was pregnant and that she may have experienced a miscarriage.

In 2018, when Brenda Song started a relationship with the actor Macaulay Culkin, she issued a public apology on Instagram to clear things up on those rumors, stating they were lies.

"A few years ago, there were rumors that I was pregnant and/or had a miscarriage. I just want to say that those rumors were not true. They were just lies and fabrications." She wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post.

Trace Cyrus, however, fired right back at the posting by commenting that it was Song who had fabricated those lies. He claimed that she had told him and his family and friends that the pregnancy and miscarriage stories were true.

Trace Cyrus' recent allegations against Brenda Song

Trace Cyrus, now 36, has found himself embroiled in the debate all over again after coming across criticism from a fan on Instagram. He accused Song of fabricating dozens of pregnancies, lying about having abortions, and pretending to suffer from terminal illnesses, including breast cancer and a brain tumor.

"stole thousands of dollars for me and fake multiple pregnancies lied about being terminally ill to make my family and I think that she had breast cancer and a brain tumor. It was all a lie" He wrote.

According to Trace Cyrus, at one point, Song had showed up at his home with a bandage on her head, saying that she had just received brain surgery. Due to being suspicious, Cyrus claimed that he took off the wrapping and there was no proof of any medical procedure.

He also shared a story about an incident where he claimed Song faked an abortion, leaving fake blood on the bathroom floor to make it seem real. Trace Cyrus recalled him and his mother, Tish Cyrus, frantically taking her to a doctor only to find out later it was all staged.

"It was all a lie... She was humiliated to ever show her face around my family again once we figured it." He added.

Neither Brenda Song nor her representatives have commented on the accusations at the time of writing. Song, who is currently engaged to Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin, has stayed out of the spotlight in recent years.
