American singer Usher Raymond IV is seeking legal action against Bryan-Michael Cox and others. According to Complex, the reason behind the lawsuit is that Cox and a few others took a loan from the singer to open a restaurant in Atlanta but that eatery never saw the light of day. He also named others like Charles Hughes, Alcide Honoré, and Keith Thomas.Per the lawsuit filed on November 14, the Hey Daddy singer alleged that in 2024, Cox and others reached out to him for investing in the restaurant named Homage ATL. Although the singer was not interested in investing in the restaurant, he agreed to loan out $1.7 million for the restaurant.The amount was sent to the people through a wire transfer in January 2025. According to the court documents, Raymond’s team received a call from the said party. They allegedly told him they require money to purchase the property. Furthermore, they sent Usher the required wire details to send the money.After learning that the property was not purchased, the singer asked them to pay back the money. Although he received $1 million in August 2025, the remaining money is yet to be returned to him. Per Complex, Alcide Honoré told Usher that it would be difficult for them to give back the remainder amount as it was put to some other unspecified use.Through the lawsuit, he seeks $4.9 million on account of damages. According to his legal representatives, since the money wasn’t used for the said purpose, they demand damages including legal fees and relief.What did Usher say about his partnership with Ralph Lauren?On September 10, the Ralph Lauren Fashion Show was held. During a conversation on CBS Mornings, host Gayle King said that when she spoke to the Ralph Lauren officials at the show, they said they chose Raymond because he possesses certain qualities. In King’s words:“And they said this about you. He's iconic. He's quality. He's legend. And he has elegance.”When asked if they were right about him, Usher said:“I wouldn't disagree.”King then asked how the collaboration with Ralph Lauren came about and he said:“You know, two incredible brands coming together to do something creative. However, he said he met Lauren at a restaurant and told him that they had something in common, for instance, their birthdays were on the same day. He explained that he had to be involved because the fragrance was a way for him to express himself. He said New York was serious about style, so he wanted to make something that showed who he was and also made the brand look great. He wanted everyone to feel like they could have a little piece of New York through the fragrance.
