Open’er Festival was founded by Alter Art. The upcoming edition of the festival will be its 23rd edition, as it was first held in 2002. The festival has always announced its lineup artist by artist instead of announcing it all at once. The upcoming edition is no different and further acts will be announced for it in the coming days.

Previously, in an interview with IQ Magazine on July 17, 2025, Alter Art CEO had elaborated upon this method of lineup announcement, stating to the publication:

"It’s quite unusual, but it gives us time to promote the whole lineup and discuss their music for a month – even if they’re smaller. Sometimes we are criticised for it because people want to know the lineup all at once, but this is part of the strategy to show people, especially new generations, that a festival is a different thing in comparison to a headline show."

At the time, the CEO also drew attention to the rising prices of running a festival:

"We are reaching the red line for festival ticket prices. Maybe there is no red line for the headline shows because of how dedicated fan bases are but it will be a challenge for us if they become more and more expensive. There’s a limit to how much money people have."

He went on to elaborate on how Alter Art is dealing with the situation:

"Costs, from the artist fees to the production, are unbelievable. It’s a challenging time for festivals and the market has changed, so I see this as a time to invest and build, and think about spectacular profits later. We’re reinvesting our profits or potential profits in quality because if not, we could be in trouble in two to three years."

Open’er festival is an award winning festival. It has won the Best Major Festival award at the European Festival Awards five times. Open'er festival is one of the major festivals held in Poland.

Other notable festivals in the country include the Ostrów Rock Festival, Kraków Live Festival, The Orange Warsaw Festival, Unsound Festival as well as the OFF Festival.
