The release of The Naked Gun is still a couple of days away; however, some press members and viewers have watched the premiere and early screenings of the film. And as expected, they have declared it a laugh riot.
The movie brings back the iconic franchise after a long gap of over three decades. It features Liam Neeson as Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., the son of Frank Drebin from the original film series, who has to solve a murder case that threatens his job and the entire police department.
The sequel has retained the spoof nature of the franchise while also adding contemporary themes to it, which has worked well with the audience. Social media is now raving about the film, and here is what viewers are saying.
Early reviews for The Naked Gun call the film a hilarious ride
The Naked Gun had its premiere in New York City recently, where multiple viewers got to watch the film. Audiences are now calling it a hilarious film, with some hailing it as one of the best comedies of recent times. One viewer called the movie a ‘sequel done right’ and wrote on X:
