Pamela Anderson denies rumors her relationship with Liam Neeson was staged

Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson have had tongues wagging since reports broke in July 2025 that they were allegedly dating. While fans gushed over the chemistry between the two actors, allegations emerged that the couple were in a PR relationship to promote their recent movie, Naked Gun.

Pamela Anderson addressed these rumors on September 5, 2025, at the Deauville American Film Festival in France. The 58-year-old actress stated that her romantic life was driven by authenticity, and it would be a death sentence to “feed into PR stunts":

"I do not and will never feed into PR stunts. That would be a death sentence. I'm authentically driven. I'm superstitious when it comes to love. And I'm not comfortable sharing any shred of my romantic life."

As she received the Deauville Talent award, The Last Showgirl actress reminded fans and the media that it was her job to fall in love onscreen, and she assured that she wasn’t playing any games:

"I know I'll fall in love again and again on screen. That is my job. If we do it well, you will feel it, a kind of projection. It is the greatest compliment. So please think positive. And I appreciate your good wishes. There are no silly games being played. I'm sincere."

Pamela Anderson, whilst on stage to receive her award, stated that she strove to leave behind an honest legacy:

"Do not mistake my kindness for weakness or my boldness for bitterness. I'm here on this journey, not for money or for fame, but to see what I'm made of in truth, hard work, and to leave behind an honest legacy my family can be proud of."

On August 29, 2025, a TMZ exclusive claimed that the Naked Gun stars were faking their relationship during the press tour for the Naked Gun movie. The news outlet claimed that their “love fest” was orchestrated by their PR teams and Paramount. TMZ alleged that the actors didn’t see each other from when filming stopped in June 2024 until the press tour began in July 2025.

An “insider” denied the allegations in the TMZ scoop in a PEOPLE magazine exclusive, stating:

"Everything between them has been genuine. Neither would ever take part in a publicity stunt. They have a great time. Neither of them needs the publicity."
