NBA YoungBoy recently performed at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, on October 19, 2025, as part of his ongoing MASA tour. The show was the singer's first show at the venue, with a second show being scheduled for October 20, 2025.

Now footage has emerged of the singer on the streets of New Orleans after his show at the venue. The singer was apparently swarmed by his fans, and police had to carry the singer to his car.

The footage, published by Kurrco, shows police officers moving reluctant NBA YoungBoy away from his fans, with the footage being from around 12:42 am local time. The singer did not have his own security people with him at the time of the incident.

Neither the representatives of NBA YounBoy, nor the singer himself has commented on this incident as of the writing of this article. The New Orleans Police Department has yet to issue a press statement on the matter as well.

The footage of the incident has since then gone viral, and netizens have taken to social media to react to it, as exemplified by the tweets quoted below:

"Him keeping a straight face while being rushed out the scene is taking me out." one netizen commented.
"YoungBoy out treating his city like a playground...zero security, thousands of fans, pure chaos energy." another netizen commented.
"It's New Orleans. Even though you're in your state ain't nobody safe in the NO." one commenter opined.

The incident comes after the singer's first concert at Smoothie King Center faced intense police security. Over 400 police officers, as well as drones and armored vehicles, were deployed to the scene. The venue also had a strict no-bag policy to ensure better security. Only cardholders, wallets, and phones that could be carried on a person were admitted.

Speaking ahead of the concert to the press, NOPD superintendent Hans Ganthier had elaborated on the increased security and the message the police were sending with such security:

"Our enforcement presence will include walking beats, mounted, bicycles, tactical units, drones, one of our armored vehicles, our light towers in key areas, and high visibility patrols throughout downtown and the French Quarter."

The superintendent continued:

"Our public message to everyone is that NOPD is prepared for this event. f you have to bring a gun, don’t come down to the areas of interest. Leave your guns at home."

NBA YoungBoy to perform in Birmingham after his New Orleans shows

As mentioned above, NBA YoungBoy has a second show in New Orleans on October 20, 2025. After that, NBA YoungBoy is set to head over to Birmingham for his next tour show, which will be held at the Legacy Arena BJCC in the city.

The tour will then continue on with shows in other cities such as Glendale, Las Vegas, and Portland, before its final show at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington State.

NBA YoungBoy's tour is in support of his new album, MASA, which was released on July 25, 2025, via Motown and Never Broke Again. Never Broke Again is a record label he founded alongside Rodrick "OG 3Three" Jeanpierre and Kyle "Montana" Claiborne. The label, alongside being the home for his own albums, is also the home of artists such as NBA ChoppaBoyE and Quando Rondo.
