Predator: Killer of Killers shows director Dan Trachtenberg returning to the Predator franchise three years after the critically acclaimed Prey. It's a stunningly animated sci-fi horror triptych that knows how to use this medium to throw the punches at just the right moments. Although a franchise flick, it maturely handles the heavy themes of loss and grief.
The script hops across timelines in human history to show the savage predators hunting the fiercest warriors. Their stories come together toward the end in a brutal, climactic battle that tests all their skills, endurance, and patience. Every story finds a way to hit the right emotional beats and get your adrenaline pumping without any gimmicks.
The vivid and violent ending of Predator: Killer of Killers shows the three fighters facing the predator in an arena. Instead of fighting each other, they team up against the predator leader. However, in the final moments, Ursa stays back so others can flee.

What happens in Predator: Killer of Killers?
The film shows three stories from different parts of the world coming together in its final moments. The first story is set in Viking-era Scandinavia when Norse warrior Ursa is determined to avenge her father's death by killing the culprit: the Krivich tribe leader, Zoran. She heads to the tribe's base with her clan and her son Anders, who kills his grandfather's murderer. Yet, soon after, Anders dies after a predator warrior attacks them.
The next story takes place in feudal Japan as two samurai warrior brothers, Kenji and Kiyoshi, get into a battle after their warlord father's death. It quickly gets intense, leading Kiyoshi to fall off a balcony, presumably to his death. While recovering from that trauma, Kenji gets viciously attacked by a predator, which leads him to find Kiyoshi, still alive. The brothers fight off the predator, and Kiyoshi loses his life.

Flash forward to the Second World War, when Torres gets enlisted as a fighter pilot in the US Navy. He crosses paths with the predators after a unit from his squadron gets destroyed by a strange aircraft. Curious to know what happened, he flies over the Atlantic Ocean in a rundown plane to see his squadron getting killed one by one. As the last man standing, he tricks the annihilating aircraft into destroying itself.
How does the film end?
Fighter pilot Torres destroys the predator's aircraft and returns to the land to work at a garage. However, he gets kidnapped by the predators, who throw him into suspended animation with Ursa and Kenji. They are soon brought into an arena to fight each other, but decide to work together to safely escape.

Things quickly get messy as a monster eats Torres whole, but he escapes on a hoverbike and joins Ursa and Kenji to leave on a ship. However, a harpoon delays their escape, forcing Ursa to get captured so Kenji and Torres can flee.
Through the final part of this story, the film shows that the ultimate goal of the predators is to force the fiercest warriors from other species for amusement, much like Romans once did in the Gladiator fighting.
Is there a post-credit scene in Predator: Killer of Killers?
Yes, there is a post-credit scene in Predator: Killer of Killers that shows a room filled with several specimens put into cryogenesis, which also includes Naru from Prey (2022). This opens the franchise to a string of new possibilities, and we have covered them over here. Perhaps Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands can reveal how.
Predator: Killer of Killers is available to watch on Hulu and Disney+
