It's no surprise that pre-sale IMAX 70mm tickets for Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic film, The Odyssey, have been sold out. There are a couple of reasons for this: one is, of course, it's a Nolan flick, and there are only a few IMAX theaters projecting films on a 70mm reel.
Following this, netizens went wild, which instantly became a hot topic among them. One of the fans on Reddit wrote.
"Sold out too, Nolan’s a phenom."
Another fan was absolutely stunned by the fact that all the tickets were sold considering the fact that the official trailer hasn't arrived yet. The user said,
"Pre sales before the official trailer. Insane."
Same was the case for this fan, who was equally stunned about the news. The user writes,
"I know Nolan likes to hype us up for a year, but tickets going on sale THIS early is absolutely unheard of!"
A fan was positive that this is going to be another billion dollar flick from the filmmaking auteur. The user commented,
"This is reaching a billion. Congrats to the full cast and crew and studio in advance."
It's still exactly a year from today when we will see The Odyssey hitting theaters globally and we can expect another film explosion at the box office.

What we know about The Odyssey?
Apart from the fact that it will be released on July 17, 2026, we know that Christopher Nolan has assembled an ensemble cast including Matt Damon as Odysseus, Tom Holland as Telemachus, and more. You can see the full cast of The Odyssey here.
We all know the basic gist of the story already, given it is inspired by one of Homer's poems. Another film called The Return, starring Ralph Fiennes as Odysseus,, was released in 2024. The actor certainly pushed his limits for that role. But that doesn't go without saying that Matt Damon has worked hard for the role too, which is clear from the set pictures circling the internet.
Lastly, this is said to be the most expensive film of Nolan's career, so we can certainly expect more than jaw-dropping sequences in the movie.
