One of the most integral parts of any horror film is it's soundtrack, as it elevates all the creepy elements of it's premise and The Conjuring: Last Rites is no different. The film boasts an impressive score, brought to life by Benjamin Wallfisch who has previously worked on Annabelle: Creation, It and It: Chapter Two. Needless to say, the soundtrack leads most of the jump scares in the film, ringing the atmosphere with an unsettling score.

For The Conjuring: Last Rites, Wallfisch led the way with an original score instead of featured songs. Here's every song featured in the fourth installment of The Conjuring series.

What is The Conjuring: Last Rites about?

The Conjuring: Last Rites successfully closes on Ed and Lorraine's decade-long legacy in The Conjuring franchise. As Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return as the Warrens, the film brings light to one of the couple's most popular and controversial cases, The Smurl Haunting.

Although the film manages to take a few creative liberties with the plot, the story largely focuses on the Smurls; a family in Pennsylvania who reported supernatural instances in their new home. Foul odor, incessant barking from their dog, shattering lights and sinister assaults- all of which started taking place when the family brought in an ancient mirror as a present for their daughter.

The mirror becomes the driving force of the plot. Years earlier, Lorraine and Ed had encountered it and the mirror almost killed their newborn daughter Judy Warren. Years later, whatever entity lived inside the mirror is back for revenge on the life it could not take. This time the Warrens aren't just fighting for someone else's family. They're fighting for their own.

The Conjuring: Last Rites has been a box office success, despite opening to mixed reviews. As of 7 September, the film has grossed $84 million domestically and $110 million in other territories, earning $194 million in total, the highest for any horror movie ever made.

The Conjuring: Last Rites is now in theaters.
