The highly anticipated Fall 2 casts its first round of actors, new actors revealed

The lead cast of the upcoming sequel Fall 2 boasts a star-studded affair, which includes Arsema Thomas, Tom Brittney, and Harriet Slater, as reported by Deadline.

The film shall be helmed by The Spierig Brothers, Michael and Peter Spierig. The twin brother duo have previously directed films such as Undead (2003), Predestination (2014), and Jigsaw (2017), to name a few.

This film is a follow-up to the 2022 survival film Fall, which stars Grace Caroline Currey, Mason Gooding, Virginia Gardner, and many others.

The upcoming sequel Fall 2 has a fresh, illustrious lead cast

As per Deadline, the primary cast members of Fall 2 are declared to be Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas, and Tom Brittney.

English actor Harriet Slater is well known for her work in DC's Pennyworth (2019-2022), All Creatures Great and Small (2020), Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023), Outlander: Blood of My Blood (2025), etc.

We all remember Arsema Thomas as the young Agatha Danbury in Netflix's Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (2023), along with her appearances in films including Redeeming Love (2022) and She Taught Love (2024).

And for the leading male cast, we have Tom Brittney, who is recognized for his famous role as Reverend Will Davenport in the British series Grantchester (2019-2023). Apart from this role, the actor has starred in series and films including Outlander (2014), Invasion (2021), Greyhound (2020), Back In Action (2025), and many more.

As per the outlet, the official synopsis of Fall 2 goes as:

Overwhelmed by her sister Hunter’s death, Jax (Slater) connects with Luce (Thomas), Hunter’s fearless friend. To heal, they attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. After a sudden rockslide leaves them stranded on a fragile plank 3000 feet in the air, Jax must confront her deepest fears and fight for survival to find closure.

Scott Mann had directed and penned the original predecessor film. However, this time, Mann, in collaboration with Jonathan Frank, has penned the sequel, with the director's chair(s) having passed on to The Spierig Brothers. As per the outlet, Peter and Michael Spierig express their excitement and vision about directing Fall 2, as they state:

“We were huge fans of the first film and couldn’t wait to continue the journey. Our aim was to capture the same intensity that Scott Mann and his team established in the original, while adding new, layered characters who will connect with audiences as they endure extreme and terrifying heights.”

Scott Mann's Fall was both a commercial and critical success, as it garnered a 79% Rotten Tomatoes score. Interestingly, at present, both its Tomatometer and Popcornmeter stand at the same score. Commercially, the film has a global collection of $18,039,979, as recorded by Box Office Mojo.

At the beginning of 2025, its production will be concluded in Thailand. Going by the synopsis of Fall 2, the story is also set in Thailand, so it seems that they have chosen to shoot at its authentic location as per the script's demands.

The film's distribution will be handled by Lionsgate, and the film company has planned to make its release next year, in 2026.
