A fresh new poster of the upcoming The Running Man has action and drama written all over it!
Dolby Labs has freshly launched a captivating new poster of The Running Man. In the poster, we witness Glen Powell as Ben Richards, who is in the middle of a high-stakes action scene.
Powell is seen breaking away from a glass window of a high-storeyed building, with a thousand shards of glass encircling him. This aerial view showcases both the ground and the airspace, as we see tiny buildings below and helicopters hovering around in the sky above.
The poster is filled with a dramatic visual narrative that constitutes elements of unpredictability, survival, and danger. The dominant colors of the poster are teal, black, and white, with Glen Powell's outfit contrasting the background, as he dons more earthy colors like brown and olive green, but also comes with a touch of red, black, and teal.
The film narrates a plot set in a life-threatening competition, where players navigate their survival while being chased by trained assassins, a.k.a. the 'Hunters.' We witness the story of Ben, a father who leaves no stone unturned for the recovery of his ailing daughter. Desperate, he has joined the dangerous show.
Its official synopsis goes as follows:
In a near-future society, The Running Man is the top-rated show on television—a deadly competition where contestants, known as Runners, must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public and each day bringing a greater cash reward. Desperate to save his sick daughter, working-class Ben Richards (Glen Powell) is convinced by the show’s charming but ruthless producer, Dan Killian (Josh Brolin), to enter the game as a last resort. But Ben’s defiance, instincts, and grit turn him into an unexpected fan favorite—and a threat to the entire system. As ratings skyrocket, so does the danger, and Ben must outwit not just the Hunters, but a nation addicted to watching him fall.
Along with Glen Powell and Josh Brolin, the film stars an ensemble of talented actors, including Colman Domingo, Jayme Lawson, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, William H. Macy, Emilia Jones, and many others.
