The latest horror film, The Surrender, has a talented cast of actors, including Colby Minifie, Kate Burton, and Neil Sandilands in the lead. The film was released on May 23, 2025, on the horror streaming platform Shudder.

Helmed by Julia Max, the film follows the story of how a mother and daughter strive to awaken the deceased patriarch of the family, Robert. They go to extreme lengths, using supernatural powers to bring the dead man back to life.

1) Neil Sandilands as The Man

The actor and filmmaker Neil Sandilands essays the role of the man who is an expert in occult rituals and comes on board to help the mother and daughter bring back Robert. He performs some lethal, life-threatening rituals alongside the two women in the family.

Kate Burton portrays the role of Barbara, the wife of Robert, who is unable to grapple with the grief after his passing. She took care of the ailing Robert when he was on the verge of death and is now determined to revive his soul at any cost.
