The recently released Janeen Damian movie, titled The Wrong Paris, is finally available to stream on Netflix! According to Flixpatrol, the movie currently (on September 14) occupies the position of the most-popular film on the platform, followed by KPop Demon Hunters and its Sing Along version, The Thursday Murder Club, Unknown Number: The High School Catfish, Along Came a Spider, and more.
The film stars Miranda Cosgrove as Dawn, an aspiring artist who has recently been accepted into an art school in Paris, France. With no scholarship and a recent medical expense at her hand, Dawn is left with no savings to fly to the city to pursue higher education. Opposite her stars Pierson Fodé, who plays a wealthy cowboy, Trey, and is the lead of a reality TV show called The Honeypot, where participants vie for him.
While the film was met with a mild reception, the film's soundtrack is worth giving a shot! It includes music from Jaidyn Hurst, Violet Skies, among others.
So let's talk about the songs included in The Wrong Paris below!
The Wrong Paris soundtrack
C’es Bottes Sont Faites Pour Marcher by Michèle O
It all begins with this song. Dawn is busy working, as per her routine in the studio, and then checks her mailbox for mail.
Icing by Breland
A band performs this song in a Sossy's Saloon scene.
Good for You by Breland
Another song performed by Breland, part of the previously mentioned Sassy's Saloon scene. But now Trey and Dawn are seen dancing together, as the band plays live.
L’amour Sous Les Magnolias by A Mind Going Through Life & Noé
We're back in Dawn's art studio, where she is busy working as this tune plays in the background. And then, she receives a phone call from reality TV show The Honeypot, and the story actually begins taking shape.
Paris Texas Man by Buck McCoy
Interestingly, this is the most relevant song to the film's plot as the participants arrive in 'the wrong Paris,' a Paris located in Texas. Yee Haw!
Keep Up by Raelynn
While this song is heard when one of the Honeypot's producers is talking to the contestants, it is also scored as the credits roll.
Thicc As Thieves by Lauren Alaina
Now the participants are preparing to join Trey for a meal, and Thicc As Thieves plays in the background.
Sex Bomb by Kashus Kulpepper
This one's too hot, as Dawn watches Trey removing his shirt, and she is left stunned and bothered by what she just witnessed. Simultaneously, a camera records the moment.
Where Ya At by Hardy
There's also a mechanical bull riding competition in The Wrong Paris, and this song plays during that particular sequence.
Hey Cowboy by Devon Cole
Now Hey Cowboy is part of the same sequence, and this one's a bit risqué, bound to hook some fans in!
Getaway by Harper Grace
This is just before we see Trey and Dawn actually expressing their feelings for each other. Trey takes her to his favorite spot as they sneak past the cameras.
Love Me Like I Need by Jaidyn Hurst
You can guess this one already. This is where they share their first kiss.
Meet Me in Paris by Violet Skies
Finally, everything is sorted, and Dawn watches the Eiffel Tower on a flight. She finally reached 'The Right Paris.' Maybe they should keep this as the title of a potential sequel to The Wrong Paris.
