Macy’s Bernie, who works as a Cooler in the Shangri-La casino. After bumping into his estranged son, Mikey, played by Shawn Hatosy, he tries to give the job of a cooler, meaning a person whose bad luck is used to stop people from winning at the casino, to his son.

However, Hatosy’s Mikey is not moved by his father giving him money and trying to get him a job so that he does not scam other people, and he and his wife, Charlotte continue fooling him. Shawn Hatosy also appeared in a biographical sports drama telling the story of Anthony Robles, a wrestling champion, who was born with only one leg.

Hatosy played the character of Tom Brands, a real-life sports figure who won an Olympic gold medal in wrestling and later became a coach. Shawn Hatosy’s The Faculty is a sci-fi horror which tells the story of a high school in Ohio where the students discover that their teachers are infected and controlled by some aliens who need water to survive. With the drug created by Zeke, played by Josh Hartnett, the students try to save themselves from their teachers.

Hatosy portrayed the character of Stan, who was on the football team, and the crush of Clea DuVall’s Stokely Mitchell. His role was one of the popular characters from the film as fans loved the fun and outgoing character.

Shawn Hatosy played Johnny Stokes, who was found to be Arthur's killer, the man Bosh had been looking for.

Shawn Hatosy became a part of the procedural drama in season 12 as Deputy Chief Charlie Ried. It is one of Hatosy’s more villainous roles where he uses the Intelligence team to his advantage by blackmailing Voight.

Their difference in opinion was visible from the beginning, but as he appeared more often on the show and in the episode Greater Good the difference grew into a clash between the two as Voight realized Reid's motives are not the same as his. Southland might be a TV show that is based on LAPD police, however, rather than being another procedural show, this was more of a character-driven show, which focused on the lives of the detectives and officers. Shawn Hatosy played Gang Detective Sammy Bryant. Bryant is introduced as a character with a troubled personal life due to issues stemming from his marriage.

In the show, Hatosy’s Bryant suffers a great deal when he struggles with depression after seeing his partner, Nate, being beaten by a gang, and later decides to leave the gang and the Narcotics division after Nate’s death. While Dr. Robby might be the main character, Dr. Abbot, played by Shawn Hatosy, won the hearts of many fans of the popular medical drama. The Pitt depicts the difficult 15-hour shift of the ER of Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital. It is hailed for being close to the reality of what goes on in an ER and how the doctors and the staff have to manage not just the patients but also the relatives.

Hatosy’s Jack Abbot is a war veteran and steps up with his unique methods of treatment that helped him save the soldiers when not much technology and medical equipment were available in the war zones. His methods came in handy during the hours after a mass shooting, which saw numerous patients coming to the hospital. Shawn Hatosy played the role of Pope Cody, the eldest Smurf’s son, who is struggling with mental health problems and is considered among the most dangerous Smurfs. The show is based on the Cody family, who are indulged in criminal activities to survive.

In season 1, Pope kills Baz’s wife as Smurf asks him to, as he thinks she has been informing the police about them, which causes him to feel guilty, and he also considers s*icide as the only solution for him to relieve himself of the guilt but keeps silent and does not reveal it to Baz.
