The couple's representatives told PEOPLE that Coco and Donovan retired to an amazing location to enjoy a much-needed vacation when the beautiful proposal took place:

"After an amazing season and a sold-out tour, Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones took a moment to recharge on vacation, which turned it into a beautiful engagement."

The statement continued:

"The couple has been dating for two years and looks forward to building a life together."

Donovan Mitchell also shared a video of the proposal, which shows the couple walking by a pool before the star athlete drops to one knee and pops the question. After Coco Jones accepts the proposal, the couple embraces each other.
