We have hundreds of comedy sequels of films that bust our guts every time we see them. Whether it's a cop getting confused with names or parodies that made a horror franchise a matter of laughter, they are everywhere. We have too many of them so we handpicked a few of them for you to see.

Despicable Me, Back to the Future, National Lampoon, and more are a few franchises that you might be expecting to see in here. Let us disappoint you a bit; they are not in this comedy sequels list. But know that they are some of the best, so films from these franchises would obviously take the limelight away from anyone. That's why we chose not to include movies from those genres.

The comedy sequels you'll see here came out between 1998 and 2013, so if you want to give it a guess before reading on, go ahead, give it a shot. Let's see how many of them you can guess right. So, without further ado (which is causing a further ado), let's see them.

Comedy sequels that you need to watch

5. Rush Hour 3 (1998)

This is probably Chris Tucker at his finest, especially the scene where he gets into trouble while visiting Soo Yung's academy. He is the fun guy of the two, the other being Jackie Chan, who is the smarter of the two. When things aren't going great and giving us the gags, that's probably Tucker's character behind it.

4. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013)

When news gets too much around you, it's time for you to run. The sequel to the 2004 film brings back the KVWN Channel 4 team with the legendary Ron Burgundy at the center. But this time things have gone too far and there's even a literal battle royale scene where you won't see the power of Black Panther but the S*x Panther in one of the best comedy sequels ever.

3. The Hangover Part II (2011)

Zach Galifianakis should be mentioned whenever we are talking about comedy, so we added this one to the comedy sequels list. Though he is the show stealer in The Hangover Part II, it's Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper who are stuck with him in Bangkok where the real fun lies.

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007)

When we hear pirates, we hear Jack Sparrow. Sorry, that's Captain Jack Sparrow, who plays the very fine Johnny Depp. Though the franchise isn't labeled as a comic, you will find yourself laughing at the performances of the actors in it. That is so raw. You will see one of the rawest fight scenes in movies in the third installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

1. Scary Movie 3 (2003)

If you are someone who can watch a horror film alone at night but cannot go to the washroom, Scary Movie is your franchise. And the third film, which parodies Signs and The Ring (both 2002), 8 Mile, and more, is certainly the best of them all. You've got to see Regina Hall's Brenda fight with The Ring ghost who spilled water over the carpet.
