Travis Kelce’s engagement ring for Taylor Swift reportedly worth $5M: Stunning details revealed by experts

Travis Kelce has taken his and Taylor Swift’s relationship to the next level. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end popped the ‘Will You’ question, and Taylor Swift answered yes. The couple took to Instagram in a joint post to make the announcement. Sharing a carousel of pictures capturing the special moment, Taylor showcased her engagement ring, which fans and netizens noted.

According to reports, the ring was designed by Travis Kelce and Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry. The ring featured an old mine brilliant cut diamond surrounded by smaller stones, exuding a retro and classic vibe. The diamond was inlaid on a golden band that featured a filigree design on the side. While Kelce or Lubreck hasn't provided several details about the ring, ring experts have given their take on the jewelry.

Boston-based jeweler, Hannah Florman, revealed that the ring’s diamond could be 8 carats and pricey due to the antique old mine stone.

“High-color antiques are extremely rare. Because of the technology available at the time, stones were often cut in a way that resulted in a lower color grade than what you see here, so I imagine sourcing this quality and size of stone led to an inflated cost,” she said per People magazine.

Another jewelry expert, Ann Grimmett of Jared Jewelers, shared her take on the ring. She expressed that the size of the diamond can be between seven to nine carats and estimated the price to be between two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to five hundred thousand dollars.

“The center stone appears to be a bezel set 7 to 9 ct elongated old mine cushion cut, set in 18k yellow gold. The side stones look to be a half-moon plus a small round, which contributes to its more vintage look,” Grimett shared.

Several other experts like Neil Dutta and Marrow Fine have expressed their opinions about the ring, giving a price range between $1.3 to $1.5 million. However, celebrity jeweler George Khalife, popularly known as George the Jeweler, has provided the highest estimate of the ring so far, according to George, the ring’s diamond is closer to 20 carats and could be valued from $3.5 to $5 million.

“The ring seems to come with some serious history! Old mine diamonds are rare and hard to come by. It means the diamond is naturally occurring and hand-cut, using techniques that we rarely see anymore! The whole look feels really antique, which I think suits Taylor perfectly,” he added.
