Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift might be among the nicest celebrity couples. Kelce’s offseason coach, Tony Villani, revealed to USA TODAY in an August 13, 2025, interview, that the NFL player and music superstar surprised his daughter wholesomely.
Tony Villani has been training with the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end ahead of his first game this season. The coach told the media outlet that during a video call with Travis Kelce in the offseason, his eight-year-old daughter Carol-Myles walked in and asked the player about Taylor Swift.
Carol-Myles is a massive fan of Kelce and Swift. Villani said he wasn’t expecting Kelce to introduce the Blank Space hitmaker to his daughter, but was shocked when Swift appeared on the screen and began chatting with Carol-Myles. The eight-year-old was awestruck and barely spoke during the interaction:
"Her and Travis just hammed it up with my daughter for like two minutes," Villani said. "And my daughter just couldn't speak because she was in awe."
He added:
"Neither of them needed to do that. I think they're just like that. I really do, and it's very genuine."
"He's literally the most humble, fun-loving, honest, genuine, and hardworking guy there is," coach Villani praises Travis Kelce in a new interview

Villani, who has trained over 500 professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, and MLB, described Travis Kelce as a “genuine” and “hardworking guy.” The coach has known the player for 12-plus years, and he commended him for being real:
"He's literally the most humble, fun-loving, honest, genuine, and hardworking guy there is. What you see on his podcast, that's him. There is no fakeness to it. That's him."
Villani also commented on what he noticed as he trained with the veteran tight end during the offseason. He told USA TODAY that he observed Kelce had “slipped” in his game by focusing on an acting career. The coach opined that the tight end neglected his speed training:
"He was neglecting that ability to go from 17 to 20 miles an hour. He just neglected it," Villani said. "He may have gotten comfortable because he kept getting open. He had 93 and 97 catches, but he didn't have that threat after the catch. He has the moves, but not the juice."
On September 6, 2025, the Kansas City Chiefs begin their football season with a match in São Paulo against the Los Angeles Chargers. Multiple sources have revealed Travis Kelce’s interest in leading his team to a Super Bowl victory and cementing his already successful career.
