Cut Off, an upcoming comedy film starring Jonah Hill and Kristen Wiig, has set its release date. The movie will open in theaters on July 17, 2026. The project is being produced by Warner Bros. and directed by Hill.

Warner Bros. has locked the release date of Cut Off as July 17, 2026, making it the perfect watch for the summer. The movie follows a brother and sister duo belonging to a rich family.
They are entitled and are not used to living an ordinary life. However, when their parents decide to stop supporting their lavish lives, all hell breaks loose for the two as they try to figure out how to sustain themselves without their riches.
Jonah Hill has written the script along with Ezra Woods. Hill has previously written and starred in the films You People, Mid90s, 21 Jump Street, and 22 Jump Street. His other acting credits include Don't Look Up, Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot, The Wolf of Wall Street, and The Watch.
He is also greasing up for the release of Outcome, a black comedy flick that he has directed and co-written. The film also stars Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, Laverne Cox, and Atsuko Okatsuka. It will be released via Apple TV+ on an unspecified date.
Hill’s involvement in Cut Off was confirmed earlier this year, while Wiig’s casting has only recently been announced. The two previously collaborated on Saturday Night Live.
Wiig is a multiple Emmy award-nominated actress who is well known for her appearances in the television shows Palm Royale, MacGruber, The Spoils Before Dying, and The Spoils of Babylon. Her film credits include Despicable Me 4, A Boy Called Christmas, Wonder Woman 1984, and Ghostbusters.
Cut Off is reported to have a budget of $50 million. It will begin filming in California this fall and will receive $10 million in tax benefits from the state government. Hill is producing the film via Strong Baby, along with Warner Bros. The producers also include Matt Dines, Ali Goodwin, Zach Hamby, and Jesse Ehrman.
