Moroccan-American rapper French Montana announced his engagement to Princess of Dubai Sheikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum on August 27, 2025. His representative shared the news with TMZ, adding that Montana proposed in June in the French capital, following his appearance in the Paris Fashion Week.

Sheikha Mahra was previously married to her distant cousin, Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, for a year between 2023 and 2024. They have a child together.

French Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, sparked romance rumors in October 2024 when Sheikha Mahra posted a carousel of images on her Instagram where she appeared to give a tour of the UAE to the rapper.

Subsequently, the couple went official with their relationship at the Paris Fashion Week in June 2025, where they arrived holding hands. Around the same time, Mahra, 31, posted an image with Montana, 40, in the streets of Paris, with a locked heart in the background.

Sheikha Mahra is the daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Vice President, and his former wife, Zoe Grigorakos, a Greek-origin woman. She was born on February 26, 1994, and her birth name was Christina.

The Arabian Royal Agency announced in March 2023 that Sheikha Mahra was engaged to businessman and traveller, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. The couple also confirmed the news on Instagram via a joint post.

The following month, Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana signed their marriage contract, aka “Katb Al-Kitab.” Later, a wedding ceremony was held in Dubai on May 27, 2023, and a lavish reception in June of that same year.

A year later, in May 2024, Mahra and Mana welcomed their baby daughter. Sheikh Mana shared the news via Instagram. He also revealed the child was named after her mother and would have the moniker, Mahra.

Sheikh Mana is an entrepreneur who runs many businesses, including GCI Real Estate Development Company, MM Group of Companies, Dubai Tech, and AlBarada Trading. He is also a travel enthusiast and enjoys adventure sports, as evident from his Instagram profile @man3almaktoum.

Mana, who previously served in the UAE Armed Forces/ National Service, is known for his love of horses, falcons, and philosophy. He is friends with Brazilian former footballer, Ronaldinho, and Serbian tennis star, Novak Djokovic.

Two months after their daughter’s birth, Sheikha Mana took to Instagram and announced her separation from her husband, citing alleged infidelity. She wrote in her July 2024 post:

“Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you, I divorce you, I Divorce You. Take care. Your ex-wife.”

At the time, she also posted a picture of herself with her newborn daughter and wrote in the caption, “Just the two of us.” Subsequently, Sheikha Mahra thanked her father for standing by her.

“Dear Father, thank you for your support. Thank you for your love. Thank you for marking an era that justifies that there is justice for everyone. My respect and love,” she wrote on social media.

It remains undisclosed whether Sheikha Mahra ever legally divorced her former husband. According to the BBC, Islamic women can go to court and justify their grounds for seeking divorce, in a practice called “khula.”

French Montana has also been previously married to Deen Kharbouch in 2007. They split in 2012, and the divorce was finalized in 2014. Deen and Montana have a son, born in 2010.

The Unforgettable rapper has also been romantically linked to Khloe Kardashian, Iggy Azalea, and Rubi Rose. During a 2016 interview with Elle, he shared it was “real emotional” to date divorced women, as they were “sensitive” about their “space.” However, he was willing to “sacrifice” for the sake of his partner.
