Jennifer Aniston’s relationship dynamics with Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow were among the biggest topics in Hollywood. Fans and media continue to revisit the history between the stars.

Aniston opened up to Vanity Fair in an interview published on August 11, 2025. The Friends alum discussed a range of topics, including the love triangle with Brad Pitt, her late Friends co-star Matthew Perry, and her relationship with Sandra Bullock.

For those unversed, Hollywood actor Brad Pitt dated and was engaged to actress Gwyneth Paltrow from 1994 to 1997. After splitting from Paltrow, the actor began dating Jennifer Aniston in 1998. They got married in 2000 and were divorced in 2005.

When asked about Paltrow amid the complicated history with Pitt, Aniston called the actress her best friend.

She added:

"Ironically, I went to her and Brad’s engagement party.”

The Murder Mystery actress admitted that she and Paltrow still talked about Pitt sometimes:

"Oh, of course. How can we not? We’re girls. "

But she added that they mostly talked about things that affected their health and well-being:

"We’re always swapping advice—‘What are you doing for this? What are you doing for that? Do you have a new doctor for that?’

"There’s obviously some PTSD we all have, which is why these [interviews] scare me.”

She added:

"How are they going to misinterpret my words or take something out of context? And one line nowadays …”

The actress said the tabloids were happy to pick apart her life and every detail about her. She added:

"It’s a shame that it had to happen, but it happened. And boy did I take it personally.”

Jennifer Aniston shared that she overcame the situation by picking herself up and pushing on.
