Ty Dolla $ign recently appeared in an interview with Complex News. During the interview, the singer was questioned regarding his relationship with Kanye West. The singer responded to that question by referencing the 6-7 meme, as well as stating he didn't want to talk about it:
"six. Seven. I don't really want to talk about it, next one."
The singer's cryptic response has caused netizens online to slam him, as seen in the reactions quoted below:
"used Ye to get to #1 then disrespects him." one netizen reacted.
"It’s crazy cause Ye is the only reason why he’s more relevant nowadays." another netizen reacted.
"Man leave Ye alone. Yall all cancelled him ? But wanna talk about him every chance you get for clicks." one commenter stated.
"This was a terrible way to use it lmao." another commenter opined.
6-7 meme is a meme that has no particular meaning at this point in time. As per Mashable, the meme term simply means "nonsense" or "nothing in particular." A filler term. The meme originated from the song Doot Doot (6 7) by Skrilla, before it was popularized by TikTok and social media videos about basketball. It has gained particular traction among Generation Alpha, people born during the early 2010s to 2024.
Ty Dolla $ign's tracks from Vultures did not appear on TYCOON
In another part of the interview, Ty Dolla $ign was asked about his tracks from his collaborative projects with Kanye West and if said tracks were featured on his new solo album TYCOON. He was also asked whether or not it was worth featuring his tracks on the Vultures album. The singer's responses are quoted below:
"Nah, that was newer. From those is like, a lot of those records were from my album. You understand me? (I gave) to the cause...Was it not?"
In another interview with AP Entertainment that was published on October 17, 2025, Ty Dolla $ign responded to a question about Vultures 3, stating:
"There was a lot of music that was done. It could have been out at the time. I feel like we made the best music that was out at the time. I feel like we went No. 1, and it was a successful project, and it was fun ... That was like a cool experience, to see that you could just do everything on your own time."
Earlier this year, the singer mentioned that Vultures 3 was on the way during a brief interview at the Paris Fashion Week, here quoted via HipHopDX's article on the matter on January 25, 2025:
"Vultures 3 on the way, Bully on the way and my new album, Tycoon, on the way. Let’s go."
Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West have collaborated on the two highly successful Vultures albums, Vultures 1 and Vultures 2. Both albums were released in 2024, with the first going to chart at the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart, the Australian album chart, the Canadian album chart, and the Kiwi album chart.
Vultures 2 was less successful than the first album, with it going on to top out at the number 2 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart. Before the two albums, Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West also collaborated on projects such as The Life of Pablo and JESUS IS KING.
