Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley are finally opening up about Savannah’s ex, Nic Kerdiles’ death. Kerdiles died in September 2023 in a motorcycle crash. The crash resulted in multiple wounds, including brain bruising and broken bones. Although he was rushed to the hospital, he couldn’t survive. He was 29.
The crash happened between Nic Kerdiles, riding his motorcycle, and a BMW in a residential area north of Nashville. An autopsy, reported by People, showed he had alcohol in his system, with a blood alcohol level of 0.124, above Tennessee’s legal limit for driving.
Speaking of Nic, Todd said in a podcast episode:
"I just wasn’t ready to discuss it. I actually am not ready to discuss it today. But out of respect for Nic and the love that we have for him today and will have for him for the rest of our days, I’m going to have this conversation one time and I’m never talking about it again."
Todd Chrisley appreciates Nic Kerdiles in the recent podcast episode
The Chrisleys launched a YouTube channel a month ago called Chrisley Confessions 2.0 with Todd Chrisley & Julie Chrisley.
The podcast currently has six episodes, with the most recent one uploaded on August 20. While sharing updates about their lives, Todd also spoke about Nic for the first time since his fatal motorcycle crash.
Todd said his heart still hasn’t healed and that losing Nic was the hardest thing he has ever had to deal with in his life. Continuing his statement, Chrisley added:
"Nic Kerdiles was one of the finest, funniest, and kindest young men. And I so wanted him and Savannah to be married. I wanted grandchildren, and that didn’t come to pass. But even when they broke up, I still had lunch with Nic, and I still talk to Nic every day. We text a million times a day."
Adding to Todd’s statement, Julie Chrisley revealed that Nic Kerdiles attended their trial and drove them there every day, while being supportive of them even after his breakup with Savannah.
Savannah, who learned the news after landing in Pensacola, was the one who told Todd about Nic’s death. Appreciating Nic, Todd Chrisley added:
"So I loved Nic, and I love him to this day. Nic was my friend, he was my buddy. He was another son to me. And there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of him."
Both Julie and Todd Chrisley admired him in the podcast, saying they think of him every day and continue to grieve his loss.

Savannah Chrisley and Nic Kerdiles started dating in 2017 and got engaged two years later. However, they called off their wedding in July 2020 and went their separate ways. Despite their breakup, Nic remained close with her parents until his passing.
