American talk show host, comedian, and actress Rosie O’Donnell is currently feuding with Donald Trump. On Wednesday night, the POTUS took to Truth Social and shared a doctored image of O’Donnell’s face close-up, and threatened to revoke her U.S. citizenship.

“As previously mentioned, we are giving serious thought to taking away Rosie O’Donnell’s citizenship. She is not a Great American and is, in my opinion, incapable of being so!” Trump wrote in the caption of his post.

Notably, Rosie O’Donnell, 63, has been an American citizen by birth, having been born in Commack, New York. However, she moved to Ireland in January 2025, after Donald Trump, 79, began his second term in the Oval Office.

In the wake of the politician posting an unflattering image of her alongside a threat, the Star Stretch alum clapped back. She took to Instagram on Thursday morning and reposted Trump’s Truth Social post about her.

“Banishing me again? Logan Roy would be proud. I'm the distraction - EPSTEIN SURVIVORS are the reckoning, and your gold lamé throne is melting. Only Rosie O’Donnell,” she wrote in the caption, referencing the character from ‘Succession.’

It was perhaps also a reminder to the POTUS about Virginia Giuffre, a victim of Jeffrey Epstein, who recently slammed Trump’s “distraction” tactics during her CNN appearance. According to Giuffre, the politician was stalling the release of the highly anticipated Epstein files.

Donald Trump has yet to respond to Rosie O’Donnell’s latest Instagram shade.

Donald Trump’s recent tirade against Rosie O’Donnell was perhaps made after the latter posted a series of Instagram Stories about the postponement of the release of Epstein files.

She reposted Steven Webber’s post, reading

“HE IS WAGING WAR ON AMERICA,”

as an indirect dig at the POTUS. O’Donnell further posted Gavin Newsom and Thomas Massie’s social media attacks on Trump. Newsom shared an AI-generated image of Trump wearing a MAGA 2028 cap.

Another follow-up Instagram Story showed Rosie resharing the Being Liberal account’s post showing Mount Rushmore and the numbers 8,6,4, and 7. While 86 refers to a code that refers to “get rid of,” 47 is Trump’s second-term number.

Notably, in May, former FBI head James Comey shared a photo of seashells showing the same number sequence. While Comey dismissed the rumor, Trump claimed it meant “assassination” while speaking to a Fox News reporter.

Another post by Rosie O’Donnell showed reports of Trump’s alleged death in the wake of his absence over the last week, followed by Donald’s reappearance during a White House press conference on Tuesday. Her post was captioned,

“alive n well.”

Before this recent back-and-forth, Trump and O’Donnell feuded in July. He wrote on Truth Social:

“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship."

The POTUS added at the time,

“She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

Meanwhile, she responded via Instagram, calling the President a “criminal, conman, s*xual abusing liar out to harm our nation to serve himself.” She claimed that Trump has “always hated the fact that I see him for who he is.”

She also doubled down that she relocated to Ireland to avoid Trump’s presidency, and called him “a dangerous old soulless man with dementia who lacks empathy, compassion, and basic humanity.”

“I stand in direct opposition to all he represents- so do millions of others – u gonna deport all who stand against ur evil tendencies – ur a bad joke who can't form a coherent sentence,” Rosie stated.

She also mocked the POTUS by calling him “King Joffrey (a character from Game of Thrones) with a tangerine spray tan,” and dared him to try to “silence” her.

Earlier this year, the multimer Daytime Emmy Awards winner mentioned that she moved to Ireland to avoid being impacted by Trump’s Project 2025 agenda. Fox News reports suggest that Rosie, who has Irish ancestry, is in the process of securing Irish citizenship and becoming a dual citizen of the USA and Ireland.

Last month, Rosie O’Donnell attended the TODAY Show in Australia and shared she was aware that Donald Trump “had a thing for me for 20 years” and had been “very derogatory, slanderous, and said horrible things,” which is why he moved out of the USA.

“It affected me very much when he was in office last time. When he got the nomination, I knew I had to take care of myself and my mental health, and my children. I’ve been very lucky to come to Ireland and feel the warmth of an entire nation,” the mother of five stated.

The television presenter shared that it was definitely political as she’d been an “outspoken political activist” her entire career, and always spoke the “truth” about Trump in the past. She reminded how in 2006 he went “absolutely crazy” when she called him out, and two decades later, he was still “not shutting up.”

“Now that he’s older and he has what I believe is dementia, he keeps not answering questions by babbling and word salad. I don’t even understand what he’s saying half of the time,” Rosie O’Donnell concluded.

Earlier, the SMILF actress shared on TikTok that she would consider moving back to the USA when it is “safe for all citizens to have equal rights.” In March 2025, when the Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin visited the White House, reporters asked him why O’Donnell was allowed to move to Ireland.

However, interjecting Martin, Trump replied that his Irish political equivalent was better off not knowing who that is.

In 2006, the LGBTQ+ rights advocate questioned Trump’s “moral authority” on The View and spoke about his divorce and infidelity. She asked him to “sit and spin, my friend” after the real estate mogul’s remark about a scandal went viral. At the time, Donald, who owned Miss USA, went on record to say that a pageant winner who was involved in a drug addiction controversy should be allowed to retain her title and crown.

During the 2015 Republican primary debate, Trump was asked about his use of NSFW terms to describe women. He responded by saying, “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”

Besides clapping back at Rosie O’Donnell in a recent Truth Social post, Donald Trump also hit back at California Governor Gavin Newsom, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, and California Senator Adam Schiff, among others.
