Rosie O'Donnell and President Donald Trump's feud goes way back, even before the president threatened to take away her citizenship. According to CNN, the feud started almost 20 years ago, back in 2006. It began when O'Donnell decided to criticize Trump's decision to pardon Miss Tara Conner, after she was found misusing drugs, underage drinking, and engaging in s*xual activities.

On December 19, 2006, President Donald Trump said:

"I’ve always been a believer in second chances. Tara is a good person. Tara has tried hard. Tara is going to be given a second chance."

To this, the talk show host and comedian said that Trump was:

"not a self-made man" but a "snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie."

Not just that, O'Donnell also said that Trump went bankrupt, which he denied. She also went ahead to criticize Trump's past relationships and marriage. She added:

"[He] left the first wife – had an affair. [He] had kids both times, but he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend."

President Donald Trump is not one to sit quietly while he is being blasted on social media. He responded by calling Rosie "a real loser" and "a woman out of control." He added:

"You can't make false statements. Rosie will rue the words she said. I’ll most likely sue her for making those false statements – and it'll be fun. Rosie's a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie."

The dispute between comedian Rosie O'Donnell and President Donald Trump continues throughout the years. In 2007, Trump surprisingly agreed with O'Donnell on a certain topic.

When Rosie was arguing with her The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck regarding the war in Iraq. Trump said to Extra:

"On this one I think Rosie should win, but Rosie is not much herself. I think anybody that's against the war in Iraq is the winner of the fight, because to justify the war in Iraq – only an imbecile could do that."

Those who think the above statement is an olive branch are wrong. In 2011, Rosie O'Donnell announced her engagement to her then-girlfriend, Michelle Rounds. Instead of congratulating her or ignoring the news, President Donald Trump tweeted:

"I feel sorry for Rosie 's new partner in love whose parents are devastated at the thought of their daughter being with @Rosie --a true loser."

The comedian and talk show host responded to the above tweet by calling Donald Trump "an a**." He also took jabs at Rosie's new show with Oprah, calling it:

"a complete and total disaster."

He added:

"It’s really amazing. When I don’t like somebody their shows do really badly."

Over the years, Trump seems to insult Rosie every time he gets the chance. In a tweet dating back to 2012, he wrote:

"@Cher attacked @MittRomney . She is an average talent who is out of touch with reality. Like @Rosie O'Donnell, a total loser!"

On another note, when Rosie O'Donnell had a heart attack in August 2012, Donald Trump tweeted:

"@Rosie , get better fast. I'm starting to miss you!"

Rosie O'Donnell responded to his post by saying:

"well thank u donald - i must admit ur post was a bit of a shock … r u trying to kill me ?"

A few years later, Rosie shared the results after she underwent a weight loss surgery at the American Heart Association luncheon. As usual, President Trump had this to say:

"Rosie O'Donnell just said she felt "shame" at being fat-not politically correct! She killed Star Jones for weight loss surgery, just had it!"

In the same year, The View host said that she would be returning to the talk show. Trump posted on X, saying:

"Rosie is back on the View which tells you how desperate they must be. It is the standard short term fix and long term disaster."

He added:

"Rosie is crude, rude, obnoxious and dumb - other than that I like her very much!"

By September 2014, Rosie addressed the feud with Donald, saying it was the worst form of bullying she had experienced. During an interview with PEOPLE, she said:

"Probably the Trump stuff was the most bullying I ever experienced in my life, including as a child. It was national, and it was sanctioned societally. Whether I deserved it is up to your own interpretation."

Trump responded by reminding O'Donnell who started it. He wrote on X:

"Rosie—No offense, and good luck on the new show, but remember, you started it!"

Even after almost 10 years since the dispute between Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell began, the President continues to call her a loser. This is what he had to say after she announced that she is leaving The View:

"Well, it's very sad what’s happened to 'The View' and I predicted that with Rosie O'Donnell it would fail. I guess the prediction is correct, but, I mean she’s a total trainwreck, so let's see what happens and I hope it works out well. … I like the show a lot, but let's face it, Rosie is a loser."

Trump took it off social media when he called Rosie O'Donnell out during his presidential debate with Hilary Clinton. Addressing Clinton's statement where she said Trump calls women "pigs, slobs, and dogs," he said:

"Hillary is hitting me with tremendous commercials. Some of it I said in entertainment, some of it said to somebody who has been very vicious to me, Rosie O’Donnell. I said very tough things to her and I think everybody would agree she deserves it and nobody feels sorry for her"

O'Donnell hit back, saying:

"HE WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT," which was proven wrong after Trump got voted as president.

Despite Donald Trump's threats to revoke the talk show host's citizenship, O'Donnell has already made plans to move to Ireland with her adopted non-binary daughter, Dakota Clay O'Donnell.
