Sharing a picture of the athlete and Charlie Kirk’s family, the caption read:

"Immediately after Charlie Kirk passed away, Minnesota Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson immediately stepped in, pledging to pay all living and educational expenses for Kirk’s two children. This action not only eased the burden on Kirk’s family during this time of grief, but also caused a stir on social media, as many people expressed their admiration for Justin Jefferson’s kindness in this tearful moment.”

However, there is no evidence or credible source to suggest Jefferson’s alleged pledge. Neither he nor his team has announced anything. Major media outlets, including For the Win, PennLive, Vocal, and StarTribune have debunked the rumor.

Jefferson, 26, appeared on the 2023 Netflix series, Receiver, where he noted that he didn’t come from a big family, thus, didn’t need a “10 million mansion.” According to Parade, he put his Minnesota house on the market for $439,000 in August 2025.

Justin Jefferson owns luxury cars including a Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, which he calls his “Batmobile.” On Christmas Eve 2020, he gifted his parents a Range Rover and thanked them for standing by him “every step of the way” during his 2204 contract renewal.

Charlie Kirk, 31, was attending a Turning Point USA event called “The American Comeback Tour” at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday, when he was shot in the neck and killed by a sniper bullet while speaking on gun violence on stage.
