South Korean actor Lee Soon-jae died on November 25 at the age of 91. He was said to be South Korea's oldest working actor, according to Chosun. The actor last appeared at the KBS Drama Awards last year to receive the Grand Prize. During his speech, he said:

"Living long, I’ve reached this day. KBS’s broadcasting history began on December 31, 1961. I made my debut in I Will Become Human. Though in a minor role, I worked under senior actors. I prepared, believing an opportunity would come. Today, I’ve received this beautiful, precious award."

Lee added that the award isn't just his. Everyone, including Sophie and the dogs, gave their best, and the recognition reflects all their efforts.

Ending his speech, Lee Soon-jae added:

"I must thank my students. Thanks to the university president’s consideration, I’ve worked as a distinguished professor at Gachon University for 13 years. I told students, ‘I’m truly sorry. I lack qualifications as a professor,’ but they replied, ‘Don’t worry, just do well in your dramas.’ Tears came to my eyes. I believe today’s result came from trusting those students and doing my best. Thank you. To viewers who stayed up late and those watching at home, I’ve relied on and received help from you all my life. Thank you."

According to the Maeil Business Newspaper, Lee Soon-Jae's family shared:

"He continued his daily life as usual but passed away due to the worsening of a chronic illness. Funeral arrangements are currently being discussed."
