Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen's son, Mingus Reedus, was arrested and charged with assault on Saturday. However, a day later, he was seen outside his apartment in New York City. He was taken into custody by the New York City Police Department after they responded to an assault in progress. According to the police, there was a 33-year-old woman with "minor injuries" on her neck and leg.

Mingus Reedus was initially charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and third-degree assault. According to reports from the police, they told The Post that the 25-year-old model punched the female victim on the leg, causing redness, choked her, and slammed her to the floor.

However, on Saturday night, he was accused of new charges, which include aggravated harassment, second-degree harassment, and reckless physical injury. However, Reedus has pleaded not guilty.

According to Mingus Reedus' attorney, Priya Chaudhry, the couple ended their five-month relationship, causing her client's girlfriend to become distressed. She attempted to end her own life by taking "a number of sleeping pills."

As of now, Mingus' girlfriend has moved out and is "not afraid" of the model. Chaudhry also added that the girlfriend has no intentions of taking the case further or pressing charges. As for Reedus, he has been ordered to stay away from the victim.

What happened on Saturday was not the first time Mingus had faced assault allegations. Back in 2022, he was accused of punching a 24-year-old woman in the face. While he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, his legal team told PEOPLE that he was, in fact, the victim and the accusations were "baseless".

Reedus also explained himself to the New York Daily News by saying he "threw his arm out," and accidentally hit the woman while trying to protect himself. According to him, the woman and her friends were:

"under the influence and looking for a fight."

This incident happened at the San Gennaro festival in New York.
