"Travis isn't going to ask for her hand in marriage this weekend... He is likely going to pop the question, but it is going to be when he isn’t playing anymore and not getting ready for a big NFL season."

Fans may have to wait a little longer to see Swift with Travis Kelce's ring on her finger. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is playing at an elite level and does not seem to be planning on retiring early.

The public speculated that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end would drop to one knee if they had won the Super Bowl Championship last season, but it did not happen since the Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Another setting fans hoped the couple would get engaged at was Swift's Fourth of July celebration, which did not happen either.

A source who spoke to Star Magazine said that the couple is getting exasperated with talks about their marriage and about when Travis Kelce is going to propose. The source said:

"Taylor and Travis are tired of all the pressure and endless discussion about their status... When there’s news to share, they will."

The insider source told Daily Mail:

"She is happy laying low, working on music, hanging out with Travis, hanging out with family, catching up on life since she was on tour for so long."

For a brief period at the beginning of 2025, Taylor Swift's name was making headlines in relation to Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal battle. This is unwanted limelight on the singer, which prompted Swift to end her long-time friendship with Lively, whose children she is the godmother to.

Additionally, Swift decided to make her extravagant Fourth of July celebrations private and small this year due to recent issues with a stalker. The insider source clarified:

"She doesn’t want any photographers or, let’s just put it out there, any stalkers to know her location."
