My Bloody Valentine officially returned to the stage in Dublin this week. It kicked off their first proper run of shows in seven years. The show on November 22, 2025, at the 3Arena was dedicated to the late Stone Roses and Primal Scream bassist Mani.

My Bloody Valentine frontman Kevin Shields, who once toured with Primal Scream, addressed the crowd to talk about Mani's influence on MBV's music and their friendship. He stated:

"We have kind of dedicated this show Mani."

The Dublin concert was also My Bloody Valentine's first non-festival headline show in their home country since 1992. Notably, no new songs were premiered in Dublin. However, concertgoers saw revival of some songs that had not been played since 2018.

My Bloody Valentine were formed in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their 1991 record Loveless is one of the most beloved albums in the alternative rock scene. Gradually, the band went through a breakup, a relatively long hiatus.

In 2007, the group returned to stages around the world. Their surprise 2013 album m b v was also received well by fans and enthusiasts worldwide. Notably, they have also made a promise about two more albums. It was revealed in interviews in 2021.

My Bloody Valentine's last period of touring took place in 2018. Since then, the band has mostly gone quiet publicly. However, Kevin Shields remained active in some collaborations, including a fuzz pedal release with a hidden music drop, work with Dinosaur Jr., and more.

This ongoing 2025-26 tour is their My Bloody Valentine's UK headline run in more than a decade and their first official live performances since the 2018 North American tour. It also includes festival stops in Asia and Europe. It is worth noting that more dates are expected to be announced soon.
