American stand-up comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish, whose full name is Tiffany Sara Cornilia Haddish, recently revealed one of her secrets before getting on stage to Us Weekly.
During the interview at the FGI’s 29th Annual Rising Star Awards in New York City, Haddish explained that she has a routine she follows every time she is about to give a performance or emcee on stage.
The Girls Trip actress revealed that she usually listens to music to get her in the right headspace. In her words:
"It's my personal feel-good music. Not even my team hears it. It's in my AirPods."
When asked what kind of songs she listens to, the stand-up comedian joked:
"None of your business!" before revealing the answer.
She said:
"It’s basically Hz tones — 420, 480, 550... A lot of people will be pulling on you, and you need to be in a good space mentally and spiritually in order to handle that... especially on those lady days! You really just want to fight people because you're dying. There's a funeral happening, and nobody knows but you!"
More routines and rituals from Tiffany Haddish

Aside from her pre-stage routine, by listening to Hz tones, she also follows certain rituals. Keep reading to learn more about Tiffany Haddish's habits.
During an interview with Marie Claire in 2022, Haddish revealed another ritual she does before getting on stage. She said:
"Before I perform on stage, I say to myself, 'Baby daddy, baby daddy, baby daddy, baby daddy, baby daddy, baby daddy.' The point is, I say what I don't want really fast, so I get what I want... I don't want a baby daddy! And I don't want [to pay] child support! But saying this also helps me to stutter less."
She continued to explain why she does this:
"I really enunciate it, and move my mouth to say the words. When I say, 'child support, child support, child support' it really opens everything up. Again, the intention of me doing that is to relax my face so that I can say whatever I need to say."
She concluded by saying:
"Then I pray to God to give me his divine order and to allow the words that come out of my mouth to inspire people to laugh and feel joy."
Besides the pre-stage ritual, Tiffany Haddish also has her routine for self-care. In the same interview with Marie Claire, Haddish revealed:
"When I come home, I'm pretty relaxed for the most part. I like to get in my garden, that usually takes away any negative energy I'm feeling, because I pull out all the weeds and talk mess to the plants."
As for her nighttime routine, she explained:
"Before I go to bed at night, I like to journal. I also like to take my Vitafusion multi+ beauty and melatonin gummies because they usually help me sleep really well."
