American actor Tom Troupe made his first Broadway debut in 1957, in the original Broadway production of The Diary of Anne Frank. He played the role of Peter and was part of a cast that starred Joseph Schildkraut and Gusti Huber. Troupe, whose full name was Thomas Troupe, passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 95. According to a family spokesperson, the actor passed away due to natural causes.
Before Tom Troupe joined the stage and eventually the silver screen, he served in the Korean War and earned a bronze medal. He left his hometown to move to New York in 1948 to start his acting career. After moving to "The Big Apple," he continued to travel across states to Los Angeles to begin his career in the film industry.

He was also in the Same Time Next Year national tour, which co-starred Barbara Rush. He was a part of the Broadway production of Romantic Comedy, along with Mia Farrow, as well as his one-actor play called The Diary of a Madman, which he helped write. He also co-wrote the film Sofi, which was the film version of Nikolai Gogol's Diary of a Madman.
