"I posted a TikTok that was trending and it caught his attention. He followed me on TikTok and ended up messaging me. I got home from a girls night and had some Moscow mules. I was laying in bed bored and lonely looking through my DMs and I got a DM from Jake that said, ‘Shooter’s shoot.’ I ended up saying back ‘Slam dunk.’"

While Hannah Ann Sluss was reportedly hesitant at first, the two ended up going on the dates. Remembering the experience, she added:

"When we started dating, two weeks in he told me that he loved me and we love a guy that isn’t afraid to share his emotions. As soon as we started dating, I met his parents and my parents came out from Tennessee to meet Jake Funk as well."

However, Hannah Ann Sluss shared that they took their own time for about three months before telling anyone. Talking about their present routines and preparation, the twenty-nine-year-old said:

"As first-time parents, we've been doing our homework and being super intentional about everything that will go in and on our little one. With our baby arriving in November, right when cough, cold and flu season kicks into high gear, it was important for us to be prepared."
