Christopher Nolan doesn't typically make sequels, but when he does, they're exceptional. He concluded the Dark Knight trilogy with The Dark Knight Rises in 2012. While we didn't have the Joker following Heath Ledger's untimely demise, we got Tom Hardy's Bane in the final installment of the series.

The film, like its predecessors, exploded at the box office, earning over a billion dollars globally. It had a gross production budget of $250–300 million. The filming took place at various locations, which also contributed to this considerable cost.

The film features a couple of locations: Mehrangarh Fort and Chand Baori, both in Rajasthan. Both of these were used as main locations for The Pit. The former was used for the exterior, and the latter for the interior.

The place is where Bane spent his entire life, which is revealed later in the movie. We also see Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne do what prisoners of The Pit believe to be an impossible climb. However, the legend of young Talia motivates him to escape.

Approximately 20 locations in the United States were featured in the film. This includes Pittsburgh, which was used as the primary location for the fictional Gotham City. The United Kingdom featured a handful of filming locations for the movie. Locations like Wollaton Hall and Osterley Park House were used for the large Wayne Manor, as seen in the movie.
