The primary filming locations of The Pickup, explored
Within Georgia, two of the primary locations for the shoot of The Pickup include Atlanta and Rome.

Keep reading to find out more about it.
1) Rome Metropolitan Statistical Area, Georgia

One of the key filming locations for the film is the Rome Metropolitan Statistical Area in Georgia.
One of the most crucial shots of the film was shot at 198 W 4th Ave, Rome, Georgia. A chancy sequence of a run-down between a packed truck and a car on the road was shot in that location. As reported by The Cinemaholic, this is what the helmer of the film, Tim Story, shared about the scene:
"That whole sequence, as well as just doing a chase sequence with an armored truck on an open road. It brings challenges. But what’s great is when you are in a situation you don’t have a blueprint for. So, in launching it, it was something that we knew we had to do right. We had to do it so that at least you believe a lot of it."
However, unfortunately, on April 20, 2024, an accident took place involving some members of the team. When the taping of the sequence was taking place, a car and a truck bumped into each other, leading to severe and grave injuries.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, after a detailed inquiry was held by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, it came to a conjecture that the makers didn't infringe any safety guidelines.
None of the leading cast members got injured in the process.
2) Atlanta Metropolitan Area, Georgia

For most parts of The Pickup, it was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. Within the area, Shadow Box Studios, which has been fertile ground for shooting several popular films and series, including Jumanji: The Next Level (2019), Venom (2018), The Tomorrow War (2021), Ms. Marvel (2022), etc., was used for shooting several important scenes in the film. The studio is located at 1415 Constitution Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30316, United States.
Along with the studio, an important scene was shot within the city of Villa Rica, too. It was inside an airport in the city. Overall, it looks like the state of Georgia is quite a favorable place for film shoots, especially Atlanta and Rome.
The recently released films, Superman and Thunderbolts* have been shot in this state. Within Atlanta, films such as Avengers: Endgame (2019), Fly Me to the Moon (2024), Back in Action (2025), Captain America: Brave New World (2025), to name a few, have been filmed in this location.
Similarly, in Rome, films such as Need for Speed (2014), Black Widow (2021), Spirit Halloween: The Movie (2022), etc. have been shot as well.
