Who was Allwell Ademola? Nollywood actress reportedly dies at 43 after sudden medical emergency

Popular Nigerian actress Allwell Ademola, known for the movie Moms at War, is dead. According to reports, the Nollywood star died on Saturday after suffering a heart attack at her home. She was rushed to Ancilla Hospital in Agege, Lagos, where she was confirmed dead. She was 43.

Allwell Ademola was a respected figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry. She was also the granddaughter of the late Sir Adetokunbo Ademola, a revered Nigerian jurist and former Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Allwell’s works both in front of the camera as an actress and behind the camera as a producer have gotten acknowledgment from several figures in Nollywood. Some of her notable works include Aye Keji, Eti Keta, Officer Gaji, Wife Hunter, Tiwa’s Baggage, Omo Emi, and Mimi’s Voice.


Nollywood mourns the passing of Allwell Ademola

Following the death of the renowned Nollywood actress and producer, tributes from several notable figures in the industry poured in.

Wumi Toriola wrote on Instagram:

“ALLWELL, THIS GOODNIGHT IS TOO EARLY. I AM LOST FOR WORDS.. NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY YOU INSISTED ON "K'ALETOLE. SO THIS IS IT.”

Eni Ayenfe posted a tribute on Instagram:

“I was asking many questions and Sis I still called chase my dm checking my receipts and as Our president confirmed the sad news o it's done on me that you've choose to join NJ. Your laughter and wisdom will echo in our hearts forever. Rest easy on the wings of eternity @allwellademolaa GOOD NIGHT.”

Eniola Olaniyan also wrote:

“Some days break you quietly. Today, I lost two very close friends, Olayanju Jimoh and Allwell Ademola. The silence is heavy. I light this candle in grief and love. May this flame carry what my words cannot.”

Popular actor Saidi Balogun also posted.

“This cuts deep. Heaven gained an angel, Princess Allwell Ademola. This is difficult to bear.”

Nollywood icon Kate Henshaw wrote:

“Hmmmmm.... God grant your soul peace & eternal rest, Princess Allwell Ademola.”

Actress Bidemi Kosoko reacted emotionally.

“No way. No, no, no. Ko possible ooo. This isn’t true. God forbid, in Jesus’ name. I refuse to accept this one Lai Lai. God forbid. Olorun oni je. Just reply to my message, abeg, oremi/aunty mi. I will wait patiently for your reply.”
